Solved Windows 7, multiple UAC problems

I imported the reg file you prepared under administrator. Wow. No problems with exe anymore! The runasuser option is gone both when right-clicking and shift+right-clicking. The shield next to "Run as administrator" has been restored. The UAC settings are working now. Can also open the resource monitor. Pretty much everything is working as it should! Now I can finally use the time tracker!

That was like a miracle medicine you gave my computer. Thank you very much Kaktussoft! What do you think might have caused the problem? Are there any more steps to be carried out?
exefile: runas and runasuser subkeys were wrong! runasuser was "visible" and it shouldn't (only with shift rightclick it should be visible). also runasuser subkey wasn't deletegated to another key, thats why it had the name runasuser in rightclickmenu.

All is fine now as far as exefile is concerned (and shortcuts to exe files).

check bat,cmd,msi as well please!!

Don't know what happened and what caused it. All problems solved as far as you can see?

I think I made your day!

I think I made your day!

You sure did! I was half-expecting that I would have to reinstall Windows when I came here, but what you did was amazing and really helped me out!

I checked bat, cmd and msi files as you said and everything seems to be working fine.

While I was searching for the files, I came across this.
searchquery.jpg
That's weird because I don't remember seeing it before. It doesn't bother me much though because I can still use this search function when logged into administrator, and as Standard user the search function through explorer works. So far no other problems! :)

Don't understand it only doesn't work under that account? Or not under your account and some others? Under built-in admin it works withous issues.

If you search for *.exe it works?

Type very slowly... after you press * only something should be listed

Yes, only under that account it doesn't seem to work. I tested with other accounts and also new ones, and it worked correctly. Under built-in admin works without issues.

I'm getting the same message even after I type *.exe or any word, and press Enter or "See more results" option.

But if I type slowly, the list of items appears :)

SetupCompletedSuccessfully was present and its value was 1. I changed it to 0 and after restart it was 1 again, and the problem had gone.

I guess you're right! Maybe there are some more hidden problems. How can I check?

Thanks again!

SetupCompletedSuccessfully=1 is quite normally. 1 means True so windows search engine has been setup succesfully. Value is 1 on my machine as well. I think the value 0 triggered sort of windows search reinstall.

Hidden problems can be everywhere. Make backups regulary!

But a check for system files can be performed:

Code:
sfc/scannow
