Can any body help please! - No Display

Thanks for your time and patience Ken - I cannot start Windows normaly becuase I lose my display -

If I could start Windows normally I could try installing the ATI drivers but I cant get that far! What happens is that Windows boots up with the boot screen then goes blank - the only way I can use the computer is in safe mode!

Thanks septprince I will try disabling the Graphics card and see how that goes as for the Vista drivers I have also tried them and still get the `failed to load detection drivers` error , Thank you for your help with this people

Have you disabled the driver??

Can you boot windows in normal mode???

Hey Mike, what is the refresh rate set at on your graphic card, why I ask is that my GF PC is also set on the LCD TV and her refresh rate has to be set at 60 hertz for it to work.
it was just a thought.

Thanks for the help people I disabled the Graphics acrd and can now start Windows normally - Thank you all very much I will just have to find the correct Drivers to run Areo - Thank you all again . Mike

So what is your refresh rate Mike???

A question:

You spoke about detection problem.

Are you by any chance trying to use the "automaticly look for graphics drivers" button on Ati's website?

I you did, don't.

Just browse the site for new catalyst drivers manually.

Select Card, select type, Select OS and language manually and

you'll find the latest driver for your card.

ATI Catalyst™ Legacy Display Driver

Scroll down.

Chose the complete suite, the first download button you see.

Install the driver first (has DD in the name) and then the catalyst suite.
