Has anyone used this Try and Decide feture in the thread title.
I ask because if it was reliable, I would like to use it in conjunction with a registry cleaner so if theere was a porblem, I could just discard the changes.

Never used it so I can't help you in that area. You mentioned registry cleaners I though I would leave something. In the most part registries don't need cleaned.
Registry cleaner programs can and do more bad things than they fix. One must have the proper knowledge of the registry before messing with the registry. I don't know your knowledge level but I would not let a registry cleaner just do what it wants.
Please take this as just some friendly advice. I'm sure others will post, just wait a while.

>>I absolutely agreee with you. Until I read about 'Try and Decide', I would not think of cleaning the registry. The program places your ocs in a secure zone for as long as you want then you can decide to keep or discard the changes.
Registry cleaning sparks the biggest debates on the web and I do not ever use them. Google this program and if it does what it says it is quite useful.

Yes I did. It does sound good but as I said in my post #2.
Never used it so I can't help you in that area.
That program isn't going any where so just wait for someone who has tried it to give you more information on that product.

full image

I hope I am not crossposting as i have a question about Acronis TI Home 2010.
I am attaching a pik as it speaks to my question. I create a full system or disc image when I first get the pc. As time goes by I create another full image. I do not want to get over my head with incremetal etc.
Question, should I check the box which is checked by default under "full" if I want to keep both old and new full images in my external drive. It reads as though the first will be overwritten and therefore be gone, which is what I don't want.
If I want to keep both images shoud I uncheck the default or not? I have always left it checked as it is and luckily both images have been there to use which they have done faithfully. Why does it say it will be over written? Does that mean the first will be left alone and a new one created because that is what seems to happen?
That is what I want.
Thank you

Not appropriate in any way.

You are unlikely to see any registry problems before you reboot.
My experience was that the DECIDE had to be done before the reboot,
after which you are stuck with the consequences.

Try And Decide

Yes, if I remember correctly the choice or "decide" is made before the reboot. I have used it some time ago. I used it for install situations. Some I discarded and some I kept. Maybe a half dozen programs in total. It performed as advertised. The same results can be attained with "sandboxie" I believe. Though I have not tried it.
