Sound and/or hard drive problems again.

Hey, it's me again, I've got another sound-related problem, but I think this time the hard drive has some influence to it.
First of all my computer specs:
AMD Athlon 63 Processor 3500+ at 2.2Ghz (single-core)
1GB of RAM
A 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT430 videocard.
My OS is Windows XP Professional version 2002 Service Pack 3.
What happened and the problem:
I planned to FULLY format my hard drive, but my DVD-ROM was broken and could read only CD-R cd's. Instead of borrowing my friend's DVD-ROM I decided to take my hard drive and take it to his place. We took his HDD out and plugged in mine, the first 10-15 minutes were a living hell since neither the mouse or keyboard worked, it updated some drivers and soon after started working, I got some games and files written onto CDs, but that's not the problem.
Coming back home, I tried to run my computer, plugged the HDD and all CORRECTLY (I'm pretty sure I did everything right).
But the thing is, I have two windows installed, right. So, I tried going onto my main one, it would load, then show a blue screen that turns green/lime'ish. Didn't quite get what was the error like. So I tried running it in safe mode, guess what? It worked! But that's not the problem. I can enter my second windows normally, I had no graphics driver installed, apparently. I installed that, but I still had no sound, I downloaded about 15different sound drivers (I have a EAX SoundBlaster 5.1 PCI Card if you're wonering). During the installation it told me that I had no audio device installed, to hell with it in that case.
I want to know, how can I format my HDD fully in this situation? What have I done? How can I get my sound back atleast?

You need to format and install windows on the PC its destined for, unless the other PC has the same hardware. Windows, when it installs will install some hardware device drivers and with different hardware it can be a mess.

Ah, I forgot to note, that when trying to install windows it gives me a blue screen after loading all the files.

You need to get the OS and drive problems resolved before you worry about sound problems. This really belongs in another forum section, such as "Installation and Setup".
