Hey, Solar, the reason you did ot have to reinstall your OS is because the chipset is the same ( AMD 990FX ). As such, the os didnt see a "real" change. I have done this quite a few times with an AMD 770, 785, 880g, and 970X chipset. Systems booted right up, NO reinstall required.

Also, I am running an MSI board ( see my specs ) I have only run into a few "issues" with it. One being it doesnt really like my temporary v card (geforce 8500gt, HD4850 just went in for RMA

Newest nvidia drivers cause an immediate system freeze and reboot (HTSF error) as soon as I play ANY videos
. Other than that, no real issues. I am also thinking of goin with the 990FXA-GD80 as an upgrade to my system.
The ONLY thing about the "Sabertooth" I dont like is the color scheme. I like black and blue. AWSOME board though.
