Solved 3b win32k BSOD from hardware upgrades

Hi.
I've been getting pretty constant BSOD's since I upgraded my mobo, CPU, and GPU. (ASUS to Gigabyte, Intel to AMD, AMD to AMD; respectively)
I've been slowly fixing it with my limited knowledge and Google, and they've lessened somewhat. I've basically just been upgrading drivers and trying to get rid of the old ones.
The biggest change so far has been from yesterday, when I completely uninstalled all AMD components, folders, and registry entries. I then reinstalled with all the newest AMD drivers (chipset too of course). No BSOD's for the rest of the evening yesterday, and none for a few hours this morning, until the newest (which you will see as the only entry for today).

Hoping to finally get this fixed and dealt with once and for all.
Please let me know what I need to do.

Edit: More BSOD's. New one saying it caught a device driver attempting to corrupt the system. I can't recall the stop code now, and I'm on my laptop now so I can't access the minidump for it. The computer also crashed with another 3b win32k 10 minutes after the new one.
I'll go on the computer and add the minidump when someone tries helping. Thanks.

I did not do a clean install, as I had no more activations left on my retail DVD. I didn't have enough for my last clean install when I got the SSD, and had to twist Microsoft Support's arm to get it activated. I activated windows fine after the hardware changes.

I should also let you know that I've been in touch with Sapphire, the manufacturer of my Radeon HD 7750, and they think its the card's fault as to why I'm getting constant BSODs. They got me to try the new beta Catalyst (12.11) drivers, and that resulted in more crashes.

So I'm going to RMA through them for now, and if the problems aren't resolved then I'll see if Microsoft will allow me to activate windows just one more time on a clean install.

For now, would it be possible to see if anything else (not related to my graphics card) needs to be fixed? Such as other old drivers, etc.

Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

The goal is to test all the RAM sticks and all the motherboard slots.

Check your motherboard manual to ensure the RAM sticks are in the recommended motherboard slots. Some motherboards have very specific slots required for the number of RAM sticks installed.

If you get errors, stop the test and continue with the next step.

1. Remove all but one stick of RAM from your computer (this will be RAM stick #1), and run Memtest86 again, for 7 passes.

*Be sure to note the RAM stick, use a piece of tape with a number, and note the motherboard slot.

If this stick passes the test then go to step #3.

2. If RAM stick #1 has errors, repeat the test with RAM stick #2 in the same motherboard slot.

*If RAM stick #2 passes, this indicates that RAM stick #1 may be bad. If you want to be absolutely sure, re-test RAM stick #1 in another known good slot.

*If RAM stick #2 has errors, this indicates another possible bad RAM stick, a possible motherboard slot failure or inadequate settings.
​

3. Test the next stick of RAM (stick #2) in the next motherboard slot.

*If this RAM stick has errors repeat step #2 using a known good stick if possible, or another stick.

*If this RAM stick has no errors and both sticks failed in slot#1, test RAM stick #1 in this slot.
​

4. If you find a stick that passes the test, test it in all the other motherboard slots.

If Part 2 testing shows errors, and all tests in Part 3 show errors, you will need to test the RAM sticks in another computer and/or test other RAM in your computer to identify the problem.

In this way, you can identify whether it is a bad stick of RAM, a bad motherboard, or incompatibility between the sticks.

:tip: Do this test overnight, before going to bed.

Run the System File Checker. It allows the user to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files.

Alright well I decided to try a few more things before RMA'ing the video card.

I tried using the old card (radeon hd 5670) after uninstalling the current drivers and installing the drivers for the 5670, but still got crashes. Ran MSE and got 2 trojans and 5 java exploits, apparently, but still would crash even after that.

So I just recently reinstalled windows completely, a fresh install, installed all the drivers (including SSD firmware), and was restoring the backup of my files when it crashed with the 3b stop screen once again.

I'm thinking it has to be the memory at this point, correct?
I'm going to run Memtest and see what comes up, and I will post back here.

Hmm yup. You can insert the video card in another computer and see if it works fine there.
The usual causes of BCcode 3B are as above ^ so you're right about testing RAM.

I checked everything before I ordered anything. Spent like a week researching lol. My GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard listed the memory in their verified vendors list, so if it doesn't work I'd think its just bad ram.
The Phenom 2 965 BE obv works with it since its AM3+ socket...
Video card works with anything?
I don't know what else there is haha.

The video card should work with a motherboard which is compatible with it.
You should test that way to make sure theres nothing wrong with the video card.

I hope you have already proceeded with memtest86+. :note: sometimes memtest may not find errors on the RAM and at times it takes more than 8 passes to find errors. At that point you should test RAM manually without memtest. Like check how the computer performs with one stick of RAM. In different slots as well. Doing the same with the rest of the RAM modules.

From one of the new dumps uploaded, shows errors with older drivers from Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC drivers.

Update them in the following manner: Click on the Start rb: ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; Realtek and restart the system. Get latest from this link.

Alright, I'm currently doing the first run of Memtest (set it last night) and its currently almost done the sixth pass with no errors. I just noticed that its saying the CAS is 11-11-11-28 when the ram is 9-9-9-24.
Would this difference be causing the instability?
I'm pretty sure the CAS timings are easily changeable in the BIOS, no?

As for the screenshots of the other things you listed earlier, I'm trying to do one at a time in a process-of-elimination type style. Once I get this memory sorted, and I still have instability, I'll get on the rest.

RAM timing won't cause instability but yes it can be changes in BIOS. Memtest can show wrong info too, see how the BIOS is set. Also CPUz will give all of your ram info. CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

First is primary, and the other is secondary drive. The other drive you see listed is external.

I ran the rest of what you asked and everything is okay.
Did Memtest past 8 passes with everything fine.
As you can see in my earlier post, I asked whether the different timings being used would affect the system, and Briton says no, as I thought.

And as you can see, it shows that its using the XMP timings, isn't XMP incompatible with AMD? My motherboard is AMD3+ socket, with a Phenom II x4 965 BE... does this mean anything?

You will want to go to the Memory tab in CPUz to see what the current settings are. The SPD tab shows what timings are at various frequencies. The XMP in you snip doesn't mean it is using it. The is the XMP version the RAM has installed, as far as I know only Intel systems support XMP. Your board may support the settings shown in the XMP profile but you will have to manually adjust then in BIOS.

How's that look?
Should I be getting ram more geared towards AMD systems rather than Intel?
I heard Newegg.ca - SAMSUNG 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model MV-3V4G3D/US this pairs well with an AMD system better than the G.Skill ram.
Thoughts?

G.Skill is high quality for Intel and AMD and are interchangeable so long as RAM specs for the board are met. Your current RAM should be reset to the timings shown in this snip, from your system.

Check you manual on how to access the RAM settings, likely under an advanced sub-menu. Note that the 2T sometimes is called 2N, it is the same thing.
