I googled the error and found the error may be a hardware or memory problem.
Just copy the error and paste in a windows search.
How old is your system and how much ram does it have?

Some of sites recommended doing a restore back to when your computer was not having this problem.
I am not an export in solving your error problems but someone will be along to help out in the meantime look under the hood and make sure everything is clean and seated properly.
Might even try a restore also.

What exactly happens? Does it close down the windows you have open or does it just pop up in a new window?

What it appears to be is a memory issue as stated by The Howling Wolves So i would run some memory test through you BIOS or software and see what happens.

Dear Benjy206,
It happens when I open Paint application. If I use Paint, and draw pictures only, nothing bad happens. But when I do the ScreenCapture, paste it to Paint, and start to edit the captured picture, it will crash and the Paint applicatioin shut down with that notification.

That's cause the screen capture would be using more ram and therefore cause it to crash :)

frreakyman,

Try uninstalling Paint and then re-installing it to see what happens.
When a software starts giving me trouble that's one of the first things I do.
You might want to do a memtest if the above doesn't help.

Yes but it seems to be with most things he opens so thats why i think it is a memory problem. In saying that i could be wrong. But if it was just one program i would reinstall it, but the fact that it is not one program I don't think it's the Paint that's causing the problem.

Here's my laptop's configuration:
CPU core i3 2.4ghz, Ram 2gb
And Howling wolves, how am i supposed to uninstall and then reinstall MS Paint? it's a standard part of the Windows OS. That's impossible!

Those specs are fine.

In command prompt run:

sfc /scannow

see if anything strange comes up.

Nothing is impossible :) Just run the memory test on it as in the link above and post back and let us know how you got on.

Paint.NET - CNET Download.com

as I know paint is part of MS Paint.
