For my wallpaper / background (which is the appropriate term?) I'm having trouble with the display. In XP it was easy, I could take whichever wallpaper and change whether it was tiled, centered, etc. In Win 7 I don't see how to do that, it doesn't seem possible. This wouldnt be a problem if all the pictures displayed the same way but it cycles through all my pictures and some cant be stretched across the whole screen without looking horrible.

Any solution?

2. Go to Desktop Background.

3. Go to "Picture position" and click on what you want the Wallpaper to do.

Ideally you want to match the picture to your screen resolution, if you download pics for your wallpaper. Just choose fit or center and all your pictures will look perfect.

They may not cover the whole monitor but who cares.

wow that did indeed help. i thought i have to choose the same setting for all pix, which maybe i do, but that was painless enough so i guess i can keep changing. is there some way i can specify this pic must be tiled while this must be stretched?

Hi Dan, First you are Welcome. Now for the last question: I looked into it but at the moment couldn't make a specific picture do that, albeit you might head over to the tutorials and see if anyone has submitted one for doing just what you are looking for. Good luck. . .:)
