My best guess is something is not set right on you DHCP server.

Do you have any pcs with a static address?

In the computer with a conflict run these two commands from an elevated command prompt.

Click start orb
Type cmd
Right click on cmd.exe select run as admin

Run these two commands

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

To remove the IP address:

NOTE: You may well need to change your control panel view to (small icons )

CLick Start - Control Panel - Network and sharing centre - change adaptor settings, Right click on Local Area Connection select properties, New window should open click on properties again,

Tick the box that says Obtain an IP address Automatically
Do the same for DNS.

don't forget also: if you have mobile phones hooked up to your wifi they will have ip addresses too.

What do you want to achive?. I'm confused.

Removing the Static IP address from your machine, Now means that your computer picks its IP address up Automatically.

You're router (10.1.1.1 ) Will have a DHCP range,

for example : 10.1.1.2 - 10.1.1.100

This means your router will allocate an IP address between .2 and . 100
To all machines connected on the LAN that have Obtain IP address automatically.

Let me know exactly what you want to achive and i'll help you out.

OK that's great thanks for your help,OK i wasn't aware of the DHCP range .
Have i set up my port forwarding correctly for steam ,and u torrent i believe these ports need to be opened,
do i need the ip address the same as my routers default getaway.

So sorry for any confusion I just want to make sure that i have my port forward set up correctly, and that my internet is set up so i can get optimum speed .
I should mention as well that there are 2 desktop pcs and 2 lap tops using the 1 internet connection ,the other laptop and desktop are very slow to load web pages .Is it because there are to many pcs on the one connection.
Thanks again Rob

No, The IP addresses are not to be the same as your router (default Gateway)
Try running steam, and U torrent on your pc, If everything works, chances are, you do not need to open any ports for these programs. I've got Steam installed, and i did nothing on my Router for it, Same with U torrent, when I used to use it.

4 Devices on one connection is fine. What speeds are you getting from your Broadband?.

Are all the PC's/laptops running UTorrent?. If you're downloading or seeding (uploading) this will cause your connection to run slow.

You can just remove the ports, Aslong as no one else in the household requires them?.

If you factory reset the router, You will have to reconfirgure it all over again, with your ISP details.

Perhaps make a note of the ports, Then remove them, If anyone complains somthing isnt working, you can add them in later?.

Regarding BitTorrent, let's clear one thing up before we talk about ports. Are you using uTorrent or similar that supports a remote web configuration interface? This functionality allows you to manage your torrent downloads remotely from anywhere, or by using an app on your phone. If you do not use any of this, you do not need to forward any ports on your router.

I would say it definitely sounds like a DHCP conflict of some sort. What kind of router do you have? Modem as well.

It is a BOBLITE router,i guess its a modem to,the rest of the pcs run of wireless dongles.
