Lets start by looking in event manager (type eventmgmt.msc in search). look for any relevant errors in the app tab. if therer are you should take a scrnshot of it by using the snipping tool in win 7 (type snipping tool in search) and upload it to us

then look in device manager (type devmgmt.msc in search) and look for any unknown devices.

Also if you get BSOD's from this go into the C:\windows\minidump for the dump file. zip it and upload it to us. If you dnot have bsod's disregard this.

Lets start with that

Hope this points you in the right direction

Ken

I wonder about your PSU? What brand and type is it?

You have one helluva system.

I've looked around a bit and found this:
your mainboard + CPU under load uses 240 Watts
Your GPU under load uses 236 Watts
Memory 6 x 2,5 watts 15 watts
1,5TB disk idle 8 watts, normal use 20 watts

That makes 511 watts

If your PSU consumes 750 watt max.

If it is at 80% efficiency, it can produce max of 600 watts

The continues watts may be a lot lower.

So my question is.

Do these crashes appear when the computer is under load, or also when it's idle?

If it always happens under load, it might be a power problem.

If this is not the case, you might up the voltage on your ram a little.
Not to much though, just very small steps.

good luck

Could be a number of reasons.

You have 6 high performance ram sticks. They might need just a little more juice to run stable.

I'm not saying it is the issue, but you could try it out.
Don't go further than +0.3 though.

Good luck.

I'm off to bed.

IMO, the fact that it's freezing means something is not getting enough power. Like squonksc said, up the voltage on your memory in small increments. If that does not work, then you can try upping the voltage to your cpu in small increments as well...

But then again you said it works great on xp right?

You have all the latest drivers?
