Laptop having Problems booting System recovery Error 0x80070003

Hmm that is strange... I have no idea how it happend! I was working on a word file, I put the computer on sleep, had lunch, and when I come back and started the computer I had this error :S I know I didnt delete that folder! I have as a rule to never go in to the System32 folder because I know that all the important stuff is in there... argh!

Anyways... I have managed to copy the most important files from C: to a USB with the cmd (Im learning a lot in this process ) so that is saved at least So what do you recommend now?

No I dont have a Windows 7 DVD, because I dont have a CD/DVD intake on my laptop... However I have a Windows 7 ISO file on a USB if I can use that instead?

that win7 iso is same language as your broken windows? Also same version (home premium for example)?

Your booting all the time from that ISO isn't it? Then you know the language you see!
Otherwise try to boot it... is it the right language? If not... tell me what language you want.

You DON'T choose language during install!

You need swedish isn't it? If you don't have the right ISO (swedish x64 HOME premium)
Download this.
Swedish x64: X17-59273.iso (professional)

After putting it on USB: delete file ei.cfg from usb. Now you can install any X64 swedish win7 version you want. But install home premium (you don't have a product key for other versions)

After that clean install win7 from usb. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
In step 8 format the C drive (look at the size to know for sure to format correct partition).

I dont know about this recovery partition... I dont think I got one when I bought the computer, if so, I should have gotten a USB with it on, and I didnt...

And yes you can recover from recovery partition. At least that's how everyone does , assuming they rad the manual!!

Maybe F9 doesn't work..... because you did rewrite the MBR. Try it

All will be in state just as you bought it and powered on for the first time. You have to reinstall everything. And many windows updates will be reinstalled. Let it install updates and if all is fine.... install your software. And put your documents from usb back.

What recovery option did you choose? "recover system to entire HD" or "recover system to partition"?
in case of "recover system to partition" ... which partition?

Step 5 : After the Asus Recovery CD/DVD window appears, please select where to install a new system :

1.) Recover system to a partition
This option will delete only the partition you select from below, allowing you to keep other partitions. Please select a partition and click NEXT.

2.) Recover system to entire HD
This option will delete all partitions from your hard disk drive and restore the pure OS. Please select and click YES.

( If you select Recover system to entire HD, the entire hard disk drive will be a partition with the pure OS and the F9 recovery function will no longer exist. Therefore, we highly recommend that you use the F9 recovery to restore the system. )

Yes, but there seemed to be no other options and I did rescue my most important files, so I guess that's alright

I only got to choose between "Recovery" "Back up" or "Exit" so I choose Recovery, it warned me that all personal data will be lost, but I clicked OK anyways... and now the computer is running through all the st up...

Be aware that this will reinstall all of the corrupting bloatware and useless duplicate utilties which have better versions built into Win7, and which throttle and smother Win7. This is why most tech enthusiasts will not run the factory preinstalled WIn7, but instead choose to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

At the minimum I'd follow these steps to best Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

Did you ever actually attempt to repair your Win7 using the actual steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start? You said you needed to wait until Friday to have another PC to burn the necessary disks.

Yes I did steps 1,2 3, 4, 5
Step 6 I guess I did now... with the re-install
(I also did step 7 and 8 from before, but didn't turn up anything)

and now because I have a new install of Windows I don't have to do the other steps
However I will go through the Clean up factory bloatware steps.

Thanks for all the help in this process!
Now I just have to re-install all the programs and other stuff that one needs...
+ making sure I back-up everything regularly so I don't have to panic when this happens next time
