Simply put no.

There will be no "noticable" difference between the 2 speeds especially in gaming.

The only difference you will see is WEI score and benchmark scores.

That being said, 1600mhz ram is usually so cheap now that it is the normal speed most people go for.

Edit: And no, if you increase the amount of ram from 8GB to 16 or 32GB it will make no difference in games, even the most heavy of games use less than 4GB (well they did last time I checked) so 8GB will be plenty.

Paul.

No you wont. 8GB is more than enough.
As far as speed, in regards to gaming, no help there either.

As mentioned, faster RAM will help in some situations but gaming and general use are not areas where it will make any significant difference. Differences it does make are usually within the margin of error.

Simply put, if you have the choice, run at 1600.
If you currently have 1333, it may not be worth investing in 1600. You will not really gain anything for general use and gaming. There may be better things to put the money towards.

Benchmarks are the only way to tell. I over clocked my CPU by 500MHZ and saw no difference whatsoever. You have plenty of RAM, you are a gamer, spend the money on a new game as it is a waste on the memory:geek:.

You are right, just like paulpicks21 said "The only difference you will see is WEI score and benchmark scores."

Wishmaster is spot on too.

Only way you'd notice a difference would be with an APU, but that's about it.

Normally you won't see any performance difference, as the RAM is already one of the fastest components of computers. Having 8GB, for most task is already plenty too so no need of upgrading for now.
Normally, hardware-wise, the bottleneck is the hard disk, that's why THE investment is a SSD disk for a great improvement, but other components it's unlikely that make a big difference.
