Are you saying that you have no icons down there either?

Try a reboot, they usually come right back.

Oh. Try this:

  1. Right-click the Notification Area (or just right-click the clock)
  2. Choose "Customize notification icons"
  3. At the bottom of this window, disable "Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar"
  4. Now up above you can customize each icon to be how you want
  5. When you're finished, click OK
Edit: I did not link that in Step #3. I think a moderator did it.

That didn't work and reboot didn't work

Was it already disabled?

Did you spend time customizing your preferences in Step #4?

It's an Administrator account and even after a reinstall of Windows, it's still not there

The arrow is supposed to be there when that option is disabled, not enabled.

Either way, it sounds to me like there's some underlying problem that needs to be fixed and this 'missing arrow' thing is just one small symptom. I mean, it could be some kind of a virus or other kind of malware.

So again, are you willing to reinstall again, but this time you format?

When I did reinstall, I did format and everything appears to be normal now, arrow pops up and my SSD is back to being fastr

Oh good. Although, I am worried about what caused this in the first place, so keep us posted!
