Vistalizator forced me to reboot, now I can access the adapter settings and Windows is in English (how a nice change, I hate translations).
I cannot modify the IPv4 settings, from here either. It doesn't let me press Properties.
Situation: When trying to modify the properties of network adapters (LAN and
Wireless), the error message indicating "Some of the controls on this
property sheet are disabled because one or more other network property
sheets are already open. To use these controls, close all these property
sheets and then reopen this one" was received.
Also, every time we open network connections dialog and click on
Advanced->Advanced Settings, the error message indicating "Advanced Setting
cannot be displayed at this time because Install Queue is accessing the
same information" will pop up.
troubleshooting: Regarding the "Install Queue", it is used to look for the network card to
be physically installed into your computer at time of boot-up to set it up
for network use.
This issue can occur if an aborted installation of the NIC driver caused it
to be busy as it was in installation process, and hence could not change
the properties on the local area connection.
Based on the current situation, I suggest we perform the following steps to
troubleshoot the issue.
Step 1: Uninstall Network card
===============
1. Click Start, type "cmd.exe" (without quotation mark) in the Start Search
box. Right click "cmd.exe" which is listed above and then choose "Run as
administrator". Click "Continue".
2. Type "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1" (without quotation mark),
and then press ENTER.
3. Type "Start DEVMGMT.MSC" (without quotation mark), and then press ENTER.
4. Click View , and then click Show Hidden Devices .
5. Expand the Network Adapters tree.
6. Uninstall all entries under Network Adapters. In the
Confirm Device Removal page,
DON'T select
Delete the driver software for this device
Step 2: Delete related registry information
===========
1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search text box and press Enter.
2. Locate the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
3. In the right panel, check if there are any entries in the RunOnce
subkey. If so, remove all the registry values under the RunOnce subkey.
4. Restart the machine and check if the problem persists.
