Some of the keys on the number pad (specifically / * - +, i.e. those on the perimeter) have stopped working. Number lock is on and the numeric keys, enter, and delete keys on the number pad function normally. I've re-installed the driver (MouseKeyboardCenter_64bit_ENG_2.2.173) and also unplugged the USB and plugged it back in.
None of those solved the problem? Any other ideas?

its possible that part of the keyboard went bad. This can happen, I have seen this before. You can also try popping the keys off and cleaning the keyboard.

Hi anndeit,

Welcome to Seven forums.

It could be an issue with the keyboard of the system. However, it would be best to check this keyboard on a different system to isolate the issue.

Also, if the issue occurred due to some updates or installation of software then you can also perform the system restore:

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Thanks.
The solution turned out to be simple. When I re-started, I noticed an "ipoint.exe" had to be forced closed. When I Googled that file after re-starting, I saw that it's a file associated with Microsoft peripherals. After a simple re-start, the keys worked fine.

I am having this exact same problem. It started Tuesday Evening. I was typing and suddenly several buttons stopped woring including one ey needed to type the word eyboard. Also not woring are the right arrow, 1, 4 and 7 on the number pad, as well as Num Loc.

I have rebooted. Changed the plug to a different USB port. Uninstalled the drivers. Reinstalled the drivers.

This happened literally as I was typing. The letter k worked fine in one line of text and then didn't respond in the next line of text. If you're wondering why the k suddenly started working here, I'm pasting it in from character map.
