I wish they would have listed the pump in the unit. That would let you know exactly how much you can add on. I thought I read the were using the XSPC rad. If they are, that's as good of a rad as you are going to find. It is among the best. I think they are using the Eisberg pump/res combo unit, which I know nothing about. I wonder how it compares to the Swiftech unit. The Swiftech is supposed to be similar in that it is expandable too, and has received pretty good reviews.

I keep looking at that custom cooler I linked to earlier, I really like it, I will be ordering my new case at the end of this week, I will have to wait until next month to get a cooler, but I think that custom one would certainly look the part and is a bit different.

What exactly are they reusing from the Cooler Master Eisberg unit? I've heard good and bad things about that particular unit, which is why I asked. I've read several reviews that said the pump was really loud and the mounting solution was less than desirable.

Actually, after doing some research, it just looks like you can buy the Eisberg Prestige Solo pump, which is what they did. Looks like they use their own fittings, hoses and a choice of two different rads. The one good thing about the Eisberg Prestige all in one unit was the radiator was copper instead of aluminum, but they didn't use it.

Steve, on a closer look, it looks like they are just using the Cooler Master Eisberg Prestige Solo pump and that's it. I was confused, probably because I didn't read it close enough the first time.......derp.

The Hardware Labs Black Ice rad, and the XSPC rad are really solid units......no worries there. Looks to be a pretty good unit. I'm guessing they used that particular pump for scalability, because they need a pump with some balls behind it in case you expand the system any.

The Swiftech H220 unit has had problems with pump failure after a few months, not to mention they aren't being sold in the US anymore due to copyright issues with Asetek. Which is unfortunate because it does get fantastic reviews in initial testing. Top notch cooling, with almost zero noise.......that's what we all want.

The Swiftech was available here a week or so ago, they were in stock on Amazon, but they sold out now and it looks like nowhere in the UK has them. Maybe I should of snapped it up at the time but such is life!

Yeah well it's out of the equation now mate anyway so really it's looking like the Extreme 2.0 Pro or that custom thing, the price difference is nearly double for the custom one but it certainly looks the part, I will keep my eye out on their forums for people that have bought them. Well there are basically 2 very good pumps, a lot of companies have used them and put their name on them. The 2 best pumps are the MCP 355 and the MCP 655, both, I believe by Swiftech. They are probably the gold standard. A lot of companies have used these pumps and put their own name on them with just making a modification to the housing,, but the internals are the same. My pump is an Alphacool, VPP655 which is the MCP655 with a different housing. So really, the name on the pump doesn't tell anything. But, I'm very surprised Swiftech has farmed out their designs to Asetek. Swiftech makes the gold standard pump and also some of the best components there are. The Swiftech Apogee is one of the better blocks on the market and their rads are very good too. So, I just wonder why Asetek is even involved in the Swiftech design. Swiftech makes better stuff than Asetek, and the swiftech name would sell it.

The H220 uses a Swiftech pump, which is why I was so surprised to hear of them failing. Swiftech decided to stop selling the H220 in the US because of a lawsuit with Asetek with the design itself. I don't think it was specifically the pump that was in question. I prefer Asetek units in closed loop coolers, because they have been doing this for years and years and their design is hands down the best on the market in all in one units.. Swiftech individual components are top shelf though.

BTW, to change the subject, has anyone ever seen a 90 degree adaptor for a 6 pin pcie cable.
