Hello all! Many thanks for your help with various issues (found from lurking) :). I have an issue that I cannot seem to find an answer to with IE10. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium ( I really miss GPEDIT!)

Whenever I search for something in Google. I can click on the result I want to view, it will redirect me (within the same tab) to whatever was in the search I clicked on. As I surf... I will notice a tab has opened with a different result from that search, that I didn't even click on. I do not see when this happens, I just look up and there is an additional tab. This is most noticeable when I search by images.

I have ran Malwarebytes, Norton, SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot, along with various root kits.. all show nothing. I have ran them in Safe Mode and regular in Full, Quick and Memory modes.

I'm at a total loss. I really doubt that a new tab would open by itself with a result (even though not clicked on) of a search I have done. It just seems that if it were infected it would be redirected to something off the wall or a website of some kind.

I've seen similar post with those using Firefox, but nothing that seems to be with IE.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!

All seemed fine until today. Haven't tried any additional tweaks. Its happening on IE10 mostly, but I have seen it with Firefox too. I recently installed Chrome (just to see if its happening there too), but I haven't had time to play around with that one too much.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium ( I really miss GPEDIT!)

You can use the Group Policy Search to find out how to do it manually

Group Policy Search

OR...I have GP on Windows 7 Home Premium. One of our members originally created the installer

How to Enable ?Group Policy Editor? (gpedit.msc) in Windows 7 Home Premium, Home Basic and Starter Editions? - AskVG

Suggest you have system images in case of any problems, but worked fine for me. A Guy

Thanks AGUY. Do you feel this could be fixed with the group policy? If so, what would be the suggested tweaks?

Thanks much!
