"No Drivers were found.." Windows 7 installation

I just got this laptop off of a Facebook yard-sale page for my area. They were selling it because it would not boot. I bought it home and my current Studio 1747 laptop told me i needed to format the Hard drive from the Acer before i could use it. I formatted the drive.

Now, I can install Windows 7 again, i thought. So i put in the boot disk, got to the "Choose where to install" page. But "No Drivers Were Found"

I clicked browse and all that came up was "Removable Disk (C", "CD Drive (D" and "Boot (X"

(C told me to insert a drive into Removable Disk (C.
(X Said: "No signed drivers found."

So im in a stump.

I also get the same problem, different hard drive, in a Lenovo G575.

Boot from the DVD as if you were going to install, then do this:

1. On the first Language screen, press SHIFT+F10 - a command prompt window will open
2. Type diskpart and hit enter
3. Type list disk and hit enter

Copy exactly what is now shown on the screen, and type if back here in your next reply.

OK. I think its best to wipe the hard disk, then format, and then attempt install. Do the following.

1. Ensure disk 0 is selected:
- type select disk 0 and hit enter
2. Now type clean and hit enter
- once its done it will return to the prompt
3. Type create primary partition and hit enter
4. Type list volume and hit enter

Report back the output.

Just lists all the CMD's when i type create primary partition.

"Create Partition Primary" is what i had to type. Oh well

Seems like its listed in the volumes now!

It's formatting, might take a while, so if it takes to long, i will post progress tomorrow.
Hopefully it won't take that long, kinda wanted to fix it tonight, but we shall see!

When its finished formatting, reboot from the DVD and try installation - make sure all other drives, incl. USB drives are unplugged when to try to install.

Failed, Had to plug it into my laptop. Did all the same steps over on my laptop. G: is now NTFS Format (Thats the acer hdd)

Ok, so its ntfs format, now its telling me I need to format it and I already did that. Its says it can't format it though.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals,

Boot into BIOS setup, reset to defaults, save changes. If an EFI BIOS you'll need to decide if you want UEFI BIOS vs. Legacy BIOS. If UEFI follow these special steps for Install, otherwise enable Legacy BIOS or Compatibility Support Module to proceed with normal install:

Set DVD drive first to boot, HD second, set SATA controller to AHCI, Save changes and Exit.

Then boot into Windows 7 installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here. I would use a fresh ISO written with tool in Step 2 as yours is in question.

At first installer screen Press Shift + F10, or enter System Recovery Options to open a Command Box, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT
EXIT

Next click Install Now, then Custom install to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.

After install you can adjust partition size or Create new partitions for data, etc. in Disk Mgmt. You are creating the partition here for the purpose of wiping the HD and marking Active which overcomes certain install failures.

Well, i had a LOT of errors... Its not the Installation disk, because 1: its new, and 2: i used it for the current laptop i am on as of now. Pics: (not all errors are shown!)
