View pictures (jpg) side by side : Which app?

Hello,

Is there an image viewer that let you view your jpg side by side, just like if it's a book, just like many pdf viewer let you do..? I use Faststone Image Viewer, it's possible to do that but only to compare pics... Apparently!

Hi mate, I might be misunderstanding you here, but why not just open the jpg file twice, and arrange the windows to be side-by-side?

It's going to be +100 picture so it's not convenient if i have to switch two windows to forward the pics..

I use the excellent free program Irfanview for this. Download all the add ons that go with it and you can open practically every image file you can think of! When the program is installed and open click on Image in the toolbar then "Create Panarama" then select your images. Selecting 2 images will show them side by side or vertically you can choose. You can also create a full panorama of loads of images if you wish.

I thought i answered to this but something gone wrong i guess... So thanks but aren't you talking about making panorama? That's not what i search, as said, i want viewer to simply display pics side by side, like PDF reader can do, which ends up looking like an opened book. So you'd just press next and it'll show next 2 pics...

Don't know of anything that will do that. Surely if you deleted one of the images would you not then get the wrong two pictures showing?

Not sure to understand what you're saying... If one image is deleted, then the viewer will just not show it anymore...

So if you have Image 1 and Image 2, then next page Image 3 and Image 4 and so on, if you delet say image 2 then the first page will show Image 1 on the left and image 3 on the right. this will then alter all the subsequent pages. Or have I got it all wrong?

I'm tired of it... This is the second time my answer is deleted, may i know why..? mitchell65, to RE-answer you, the book was just an example, i wouldn't deleted page of a book scan anyways..!

I have no idea if any of your posts have been deleted. If you post something that is against the Forum Rules then one of the moderstors might well delete it but as I have subscribed to this post I would get notified by email as soon as the post is made to this thread even though the post is subsequently deleted. I have received only a notification of your post #9. From that I would guess that you thought you had posted but didn't complete the procedure. It's very easy to click the wrong button, we all do it from time to time.
As you say you are tired of it do you wish me or others to continue totry to help you?

"I'm tired of it" is about the posting issue, isn't that obvious..? Of course i still want help. And of course it can happen to not complete the procedure by misattention, but one time after the other, seems quite strange..! Anyways, hope it won't happen for this post haha.

Of course i still want help.

Only way that I know of that will do this is if you open each pair of images side by side in a decent image editor then save as one image. It might help solve your problem if we knew what the images were!

The image are just pictures that comes out of camera mem card...

I don't know why you're talking about panorama again... I already told you i'm looking for a reader jpg side by side. I understood you don't know any app that can do what i want. Perhaps another person does, so let's wait some time and maybe something will pop-up

But the OP has still got to choose each pair of images to compare which he apparantly doesn't want to do! He want's a program to do that for him!

In fact, depending on the format (portrait for example) displaying only one pic doesn't take alll screen space.
