I accidentally uninstalled the ISO program ( I THINK...a yellow disc icon) that rebooted my system
and when my windows started back up, the desktop looked completely different, kind of outdated.
There is no volume. No internet connection. And no easy way to get those back on...almost non existent.
What do I do!?

What exactly did you uninstall? Volume, internet connection, desktop appearance.... these are totally unrelated to each other.

It honestly wasn't anything specific , it just affected everything...troubleshooting
Doesn't even do anything.. I went to programs to get rid of stuff I didn't need, it looked useless so I uninstalled and that happened. It looked like a DVD program by its icon.

I'm cautious to try this system restore as I do not want any programs I use to be uninstalled. :(

What did you install last few days (after the uninstall of ISO program)?

You can always UNDO the "system restore", so I don't understand why to be so cautious

"system restore" is just a rollback in time. Only a rollback of registry and exe, dll an so on. So all settings in registry are being rolled back and exe, dll as well.

In your situation: Settings changed after the time of "restore point" are reverted. Exe and dll's you deleted (by uninstalling) are back again.

Your mail, documents, pictures won't be affected.

Try to disable virusscanner (at least temporary). Volume Shadow Copy service: Can you start that service manually? If not... what error?

It clearly says to check the application event log for more info about the problem. Why didn't you tell us and why didn't you check it?

Event log pops with an error..."Event Log service is unavailable. Verify that the service is running."
No idea how I would verify anything.? It's almost like my computer doesn't exist to itself..
