I saw that bad boy and started salivating like a famous Russian pooch. The thing that annoyed me (which is silly since I don't need a rear e-SATA port) was one x16 PCI-e slot is shared with the e-SATA ports. With so many SATA ports, would have killed Asrock to use a couple of them for the e-SATA ports instead of stealing from a PCI-e slot?

I didn't read all of the review (my eyes started crossing when they went a bit more technical than I'm able to understand) but I'm wondering how long it takes to boot this bad boy? I have an Asus board that I installed an LSI 9211-8 HBA card to pickup an additional 8 SATA III ports (yes, all eight are either in use or allocated for future use). When it boots, the UEFI starts to boot, then the HBA card breaks in and boots its own BIOS. After that, the Asus EUFI has to reboot, followed by the Marvel controller (it provides two additional SATA III ports). Then Win 7 boots (all that alone is good reason to run my rig 24/7). The bad boy uses LSI chips to get the extra ports so I can't help but wonder how much it will increase total boot time?

I hope hanging up your harddrives in rubber-bands for noise reasons isn't too harmful for the drives :S, but eh, rather silence than lasting drives.. :|
