Hello everyone. I have a notebook that had Windows 8 64bit preinstalled. I uninstalled it and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and Ubuntu. Everything went fine, and I used both of them for 2 months.
Today Windows won't start.

Here's the screen that comes out when I select sda2 in grub2:

FileDownloadHandler.ashx

And this is the error that I get when I follow the instructions provided (same dvd used to install the OS):

FileDownloadHandler.ashx

I also tried to change the default OS on Ubuntu, but I still get that error.
Please help me.

Hi Albert, Welcome to Seven forums.

error- 0xc00000e9, mostly result in bad hard drive. I am not saying that you have one. But, that what I have seen.

First thing you got to do is check the disk for errors. Here's how you do that. :ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

After completing the check. Do a system repair, here is the link for that :ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html?ltr=S

Make sure you have your retail Windows 7 installation disk or system repair disc ready before you do this and selected that as your first boot device.

Thank you for your answer.
Since I could not login into windows to check the disk, I used a "Windows Repair Disk".
After it stops loading his files, this is what I get:

Same error code as before.

Ok, I managed to run an hard disk check from hp itself, and this is what I got:

I guess the hard disk is somewhat damaged. Can you confirm it?
