new build are these temps ok...

hello just built a new pc and was hoping someone can let me know if the temps look ok.. I have 1 front 120mm fan blowing in, two 120mm fans blowing in and 1 rear 120 blowing the air out of the case and a top mounted PSU.... I was told the mother board was running hot at 50c... so here is a screen shot of the temps.. also this is the case I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811553011

If those are idle temperatures, they look okay, except, I can't say much about the motherboard temperature as I do not know where the sensor for it is located or how Speccy computes it.

Does the BIOS show the motherboard temperature? The BIOS readings tend to be the most accurate.

Does the motherboard temperature change if you leave the side open?

I do plan on upgrading my cpu cooler sometime in the future with a push pull system, I added the side fans thinking I needed them I may not need the side fans then if bios is showing me lower temps then speccy was...

Speccy is probably right for the CPU temps, I always find the temp in the bios to be around 10C hotter as non of the power saving features are working until you get into Windows so the CPU will just be running at full speed in the bios.

Speccy could well be wrong on the motherboard temps though. I just checked mine using the software that comes with my motherboard and the temp is around 30C so your Bios temps for the motherboard sound about right. Probably Speccy is not detecting the temp correctly for your board.

Those HDD temps and socket temp tell me you have fairly high air temp in the case. I would look at getting more air flow. What is your ambient? Good air flow should give you a case air deltaT of 5C +/-, excellent air flow would be 1-3C.

I would try 1 or 2 different monitoring programs (1 at a time) and see how temps compare with other software generated temps. HWInfo-HWMoniter are both reliable.

As all mini cases proper air flow is difficult to achieve.
I don't understand your description of your fans and their location and which direction they are moving air.
Could you explain again. A picture would be great.

Something is not reading correctly.
Your +12V and +5V indicate zero.

I would suggest you upgrade your power supply to something like a Corsair or Seasonic.

Rocketfish Gameing power Supply 530watts has a poor reputation.

for some reason that is the only program that shows 0 ... everyother program i try shows the correct voltage...

Your voltages are still very low. I don't ever know how your computer boots and starts.

Because of the poor reputation of your power supply, the problem you are having, and two quality programs voltage readings; I still recommend a new quality power supply.
Any reading you get will be in question until a known quality power supply is installed.

ok thank you i will go ahead and get a new power supply and see what that does.. could that be why my mother board is running in the 50c temp????

Could you reconnect your PSU and show us the same bios shot? You have used 2 programs in Windows for the previous readings but on the PSU you borrowed you have used the bios. I just wanted to confirm it was the PSU at fault and not the programs.

ok i tried to hook up the other one again and it wont turn on at all... hooked the other one back up and it works again.. so you where right about it being power supply... the mother board temp still stays at 50c, but could it be heat from my video card getting on the chipset.. as the chipset is right next to the video card... here is my motherboard layout.. i was told to add a small fan to the chipset.. cause with video card installed it covers the chipset..

I haven't found any program that I can trust on motherboard temps. I use a red dot infrared thermometer to read different sections of the motherboard.

ok thanks cause the system is running nice and smooth and fast , so i wont worry about the board temp right now then, glad to have the power supply thing worked... thank you all so much for the help i have learned alot. so thanks
