im looking for OSx86 installation so u guys recommend ideneb for me to try?

i will try this today

hope it works on my sys config!!!

Read my post #7 here:

http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/22778-how-dual-boot-windows-7-mac-osx.html

thanks for the detailed procedure guess take quite a long time for that ll try that soon nd ll reply

It took me a few months (not trying every day though) to get the patch configuration (which ones to use and which not to) right, and get my graphics working.

Only things I've noticed are..

When restarting OS X, it resets the keyboard changes I made (changed Command to Ctrl since my keyboard has no command key).

When restarting OS X, Time Machine decides it wants to try to get me to back-up again.

Some other problems regarding my graphics but its because so far the kext being used to gain native resolution with my graphics cannot produce 2D/3D acceleration (a.k.a. QE/CI).

Alright just adding this to everything, iDeneb is working on a snow leopard version.

I'm not sure if it will be upgradable from the iDeneb (leopard) but my guess is it should be out within a month or so, they are pretty fast at releasing things.

Most use similar, if not the same patches to accomplish the use of AMD CPU's.

I suggest trying iDeneb first, if it doesn't work out well (you'll need to do a bit of researching on insanelymac.com to see what patch to use for your hardware) then try another distro.

I cannot really recommend a distro for you as I only know what one works well for me, and I know iDeneb works great for some, works terrible for others.

Same goes for every distro.

-

However this information should help you a bit.

For the 9950 Phenom Quad - Use Voodoo Kernel 9.5.0 with Seatbelt fix
For the 7750 - What processor is that?

ATI 4870 - Look around insanelymac.com for a working kext to install using 'OSx86 Tools' after you install a distro.
ATI 3200HD - No support currently.

-

I am off to sleep now as I have school today (regardless if I have a fever or not >.>) feel free to leave messages on the thread and I'll take a look when I get back on.

don't give up on a distro after one try. It took me like 3 days of trying all options and tons of googling before I discovered the right options/kexts to select during the install process. Also, your bios settings are very important as well.

Use iDeneb v1.4 its more up-to-date then 1.3.

During the install, when your at the point of selecting a install location, click the area to install (hard drive), then next. On the bottom left-hand side there will be a (Customize) button.

Click it, and view the glorious wealth of patches. Do not be overwhelmed just take your time with it. :)

I'm stalling on going to sleep ;) lol

What happened is Leopard re wrote the MBR of your HD. This can be repaired, you'll need some type of utility bootup disc that can provide you with basic functions so you can re write the MBR. As for the installation going through but not being able to boot afterwards, try now switching back from AHCI to IDE and boot. This for some strange reason used to work for me on older distributions of iDeneb.

yeah i tried iatkos v7 for last time with ACHI instead of SATA in bios to my suprise it started with grey apple and now mouse and keyboard worked i didhard disk format partion and installed iatkos v7 and it asked for restart when i did it gave boot order selection and i selection OSx86 installed disk and it started DArwin loading

and it restarted again

i tried many times result was same do i need to apply any patch!!!

(now another prob is win 7 installes in primary hard disk doesnt boot up it says boot mltr missing):(

This for some strange reason used to work for me on older distributions of iDeneb.

can u detail the procedure of utlity bootup disk now i want solution for first part

i just want some working OS

(will still try with OSx86 installation later once it get to boot with win 7 )
