Solved When I try to uninstall a program, it's asking me to install instead??

When I try to uninstall SanDisk Dashboard, it asks me to install. The pop up window says

"Thank you for downloading the Sandisk SSD Dashboard. This software includes tools that can help you get the most out of your SanDisk SSD(s)."

Basically, I was in chat with SanDisk support and they asked me to download the SanDisk dashboard. I installed Sandisk Dashboard and the pop up menu says "Thank you for downloading the Sandisk SSD Dashboard. This software includes tools that can help you get the most out of your SanDisk SSD(s). ". I proceed to install the software and then clicked finish. I located the SanDisk Dashboard and it says "Missing Shortcut, Windows is searching for SanDiskSSDDashhboard.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?. I checked C:\program files(x86) and find the sandisk folder. There's another folder inside called SSD Dashboard and the files inside are called

manifest XML Document and SanDiskSSDDashboardsetup.

I also located another folder called SanDiskSSDDashboardSetup folder in my C:\ folder and then looked into that and two more files called

english.dll and manfest.


So basically sandisk screwed me over and f'ed my pc but not allowing me to uninstall this program. I used CCleaner and tried to uninstall from there but its not doing any good!

I live chat with a SanDisk repesentative and addressed this problem and they re-queued me and waiting for past 5 minutes!

EDIT: I don't have a backup, system image of any sort and this is a brand new PC.

fixed - dont mess with temp folders

my temp folders located in ramdisk B:/temp for user and system temp/tmp

Do yourself a big favor and do a backup image.

If you have any problems, you can do a restore in less than 20 minutes and everything from your C drive (OS, programs, etc. will be there). Get the free program and always click "Custom" and opt out of any other garbage it asks you to install - browser changes, search engines, etc.

It's always a good idea to make 2 backups ( 2 different internal or external hdds) in case of failure of those drives.

Well damn, I might have to reinstall windows again.... :/ I'm having problems with installing drivers

Go to dev mgr and look for yellow exclamation marks.

Click "update driver"
