She will not last a full boot @ 4.8Ghz, she got to windows at 4.6 Ghz and BSOD before I could do anything and then refused to boot much further than the splash screen. She likes 4.4Ghz just fine. That is 900Mhz over stock by someone who would be dangerous if they knew what they are doing. I shall put it back to 4GHZ where it runs all the time without getting hot.

I have a 965 BE that I am more inclined to risk more than one of my main rigs. I'll see what I can get out of that but I am not going to fool around with my 2 main FX machines in a sucide run. I don't have the cash. My next SSD went vaporised to the future when my car needed $400 worth of control arm bushing and sway bar link this week. I don't hardly drive the thing, Tammy drives them both in rotation, I sit at home and fiddle, tinker and tweak.

You're usually OK if you go slow and take small steps and test for stability after each one. You'll know where your limits are with both voltage and temps. Now, if we're talking suicide runs, that's a different ball game.

Here is a different machine with a 965BE Got an 800Mhz overclock by changing the multiplier.

Did you paste that into your sig and save it? If that didn't work, try this
