Replace Standard VGA Display adapter with AMD Radeon(TM) R4 Graphics

Wish i could help you more ... The only other thing you could try is different Versions of the Driver ..

Yeah, this is a really tough problem I will post if I ever find a solution as I am sure this problem is going to be a big one for this model.

The reason why i thought your Model was an HP ... Is because my son is not long after getting an HP Laptop and it has the same specs as yours ..

Its the damn Chipset that is the major problem ... Manufactures mode their Drivers ...

All I know is that this is a horrible problem and running the drivers attained on the AMD website should fix this problem. My skills are advanced but not advanced enough to know exactly why this is happening.

One thing I think may be the culprit is the Hardware ID

PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9851&SUBSYS_F9361179&REV_00

Do you think that Toshiba changed that and windows is reading it and overriding any driver with the standard VGA one?

Standard means there is no Driver Installed ...

Make sure you Backup any Files or Documents you want to keep ... Do you have a Recovery Drive for Windows 8 ? ...

My apologies, no, not yet. I am better studying the enemy... If I do the Win 7 clean install in new formatted partition I could delete Win 8 with its dedicated system, and free tons of space. Yes I have the Toshiba Recovery disks 1-2, and also a disk to install Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluations 90 days.

She has been trying to Install Windows 7 .. With no success ..


So is going to bring it to tomorrow .. To see if i can get Windows 7 Installed ..


So it might be a good idea if you can hold of your Installation till tomorrow night ..


That way i might be able to save you a lot of grief ...

Last link did not work. It unpacked a bunch of files and then started the AMD CCC whcih did not have the graphics option available.

HP 15 with AMD A6-6310 and R4 Radeon graphics.

Running Win 7 Pro 64bit SP1 (new install) but couldn't get past Standard VGA Adapter with other AMD drivers.

I found an AMD driver install that provides the R4 graphics with the AMD A6-6310 APU.

From AMD website: amd-catalyst-14.7-rc3-windows-aug12
search for "amd 14.7 rc3" and select from AMD's support site.


Now the CCC shows video items and the keyboard brightness controls work!!!!

Hope this helps some of you. I spent hours installing/uninstalling AMD drivers from various versions and vendors with no luck.
