The latest beta of windows live movie maker allows you to code to wmvhd, it also works with .wtv files in hd

Just made a tutorial yesterday on How to Use HD for Movie Maker 6

Essentially transfter the prx files from WLMM, to the MM6 and edit them using Profile editor, so that MM6 can recognize each file.
