Any Vapers?

I pmed you about there derekimo one being 411vapes and the place I included to keep an eye on for specials. Eleaf iStick, Compact 20w Box Mod $31.49 | Best Vape Deals

I forgot about those, thanks for reminding me. :)

I just subscribed to vapingcheap, I didn't see an option to do that without a facebook account on the 411vapes.

He has a regular review site as well as an FB page where he posts video review segments regularly seen at 411Vapes.com: Informing the E-cigarette world one review at a time. |

The Vaping Cheap site is where a good number of deals fron a vendor named Goldstar Vapes and listings for things found at Fasttech like the Big Dripper 2 running for $18.99 upto $24 at some places found there for only $13.11. Fasttech also has the Vamo V6 both me and Paul went for only about $26.50 or so while I paid out $46 from another vendor I have ordered from.

As for vaping discussions that's one social network buzzing with a large number of vaping groups with the number of groups continuing to grow almost daily it seems! Most vendors will have their own pages as well as some started up by some nonprofit consumer action groups like CASAA you may have heard of.

Now for the Eleaf iStick mod there I wasn't even going to bother with that one at first having already replaced the Groove II with the VTR due to being able to replace the battery rather then the sealed up type in the MVP and other similar mods but figured why not due to having the 510 tanks laying about. Now I just saw one other box mod coming out with a 6600mah sealed battery in it. Cylapex Vapower 6600mAh VV/VW Mod Can Read Resistance

I just made a recipie I love! And pretty simple too. been vaping it all day .. taste sort like those little smartie candies.

12mg at a 50/50 blend
Flavorings used were:
14% TFA Sweet and Tart
3% TFA Sweetner
2% TFA Blueberry Extra

Loving it so far, though some may hate it. Despite being a total og 19% flavoring, its really not that strong and in your face either. Rather subtle. Though if you mixed at a higher PG ratio it probably would have stronger flavor.

On a side note, for those who wouldn't mind moving into building your own, look at those Kayfun Lite Tanks. Im telling you they are worth it. You may find, like me, that it'll become the only thing you ever use. I went through alot of mods and tanks before getting one. i wish now I would have just started with one TBH.
They will work on any 510 connection mod, and it really is a huge difference overall... regardless what mod you use.

When trying an 80PG/20VG ratio for a cherry flavor from one place I had noticed the option for additional flavor shots but thought it might get too sweet with the three options. I was wrong! Instead once I found I could still only barely taste the cherry flavoring I had regretted not going with the 3rd option! You can bet with a 100% VG mix you will be wanting that extra flavoring added in!

Now for main use here I've been seeing a lot of great results from using the Smok Tumblers and having tried out a number of other tanks including the Aero tank mini and mega tanks with an air flow control I still find those the best for general use but advise the 2ohm not the 1.8ohm which still isn't bad and especially the 2.4ohm unless accustomed to cranking things up a bit. The 2ohm seems best for that tank's design as far as both flavor and vapor output.

For the 510 threaded tanks tried out I find the Smok T-Dux 4.0 should work out nicely with the little iStick there for vaping on the go when not wearing anything with deep enough pockets for one the eGo-V Mega batteries or getting the belt holder(made by Innokin) fixed when the cell phone pressed up against that and the loop tore off! :(

As for mixing thing I have done that at times with existing flavors to get ideas for suggestions as well as which flavor combos would work together while my interest was more at finding which ones will mesh when menthol is added since that tends to dominate over things once added in later. If and When I get around to do any DIYing here that will provide some insight as to which flavors to mix with menthol and how much menthol should be in there. I ordered some flavors that could use a boost while others you can only vape for short time and then switch off to something else.

I generally do not like menthol myself.

But, I've been doing some 0 nic mixes and vaping them some in hopes of helping me lower my nic intake quicker.
i found that almost all my mixes had little to no throat hit. At first I thought it was due to my 50/50 blends and tried 70PG/30 Vg but didnt help much.

So as of late, ALL my 0nic mixes are menthol. (Well Koolada actually. Its like menthol with the cooling effect and throat hit but with out the menthol flavor)
Apple + Menthol is pretty good :)

It would seem the Nic content contributes to throat hit far more than the PG/Vg ratio. Although they do impact it, not nearly as much. At least thats what it seems like from my experiments so far.

What I get at times with or without nicotine present are hot spots. The throat hit will start to burn where I then have to back off and sometimes lower the watts or simply take a brief pause to allow things to cool off.

Taking a puff too fast when first hitting the button where it doesn't allow enough time with some flavors to fully vaporize the ejuice loading into the coil can see that as well. That can create problems like burn spots on the wick especially with the long wicked 1.6ml clearomizers. Once a burn spot appears you will tend to get the burnt taste.

The description I hear most often from others about the difference having nic present or 0% is the notice of a warmer throat hit which also effects the flavoring to a certain extent. When going from 0 to 18mg for example to find out how one vendor's flavor would taste I saw the same thing where the taste was noticeably off a bit. That was with a menthol tobacco flavor as well as one or two others several months back while I had been observing things when being sent samples to try out on various tanks and batteries when a friend was first starting up a new elquids business. Some friends who I introduced to vaping demanded nicotine while I was looking simply to dump that entirely as part of the time to leave it well behind when going to quit.

As for Koolada I can point you right at one flavor that feels like an attual fruit blend type drink in a glass with ice cubes. That was how good the blend came out with a strawberry and lemonade blend with cherry and Koolada added into to make that one up. Southern Chill That vendor has used Koolada for several flavors already mostly being used in the Fruit Flavors and Beverages & Drinks catagories. Yet another flavor uses Mint without any cooling effect as a balancing agent in a Mojito flavor with a sweet Blackberry mix with Lime and a hint of coconut. You'll notice the Lime in there with citrus presence. Baja Juice - Blackberry Mojito

The menthol in vapor here replaces what was in smoke over a 35+yr. habit I finally was able to dump completely without looking back simply by having an alternative other then smoke to control allergies by preventing as well as resolving the sneezing spasms and runny nose and being out of commission for a few hours when an attack comes on without. Koolada as a substitute hasn't shown the same effect in that regard while it provides the cold drink effect with most flavors it is used with.

So I got this today. Before you ask, Yes it fitted through my letterbox lol.

It has a selection of juices of varying PG/VG, 3 are 50/50, 1 is 40/60, 1 is 30/70 and 1 is 100% VG! Strength wise they are all 18mg bar the over the rainbow which comes in a max strength of 12mg.

The packaging was great and they all smell fantastic, I was pretty pumped to test them out.

That's pretty much where the fun ended.

They say taste is very individual and subjective. They ain't wrong. Sadly they managed to choose 6 out of 6 juices which didn't agree with my taste buds. I spent a good 3hrs trying them all out, cleaning tanks, replacing coils. It was an interesting experience. I have not written them all off completely and I will try them again but I am back to the Mum's custard I had before they arrived for now.
Oddly people are starting to report they love them all and on the official site to buy one of them it has 269 reviews and they all give it 5 stars, a lot say it's an awesome all day vape, I was sick of the stuff after 10 hits on it! There must be something wrong with me!

I said to Steve in an email earlier, it would be good if we could work out a way to send each other our rejects if it's not too expensive. You never know we might like what the other doesn't. No point in having a draw full of juice that never gets used.

One solution is to attend vape meets! I know a couple locally that travel around and swap flavors from various vendors with others they meet at these events. You would need to look into something like that to see if they hold where you are.

And in the other news I find the new mod I ordered puts out more vapor with the exact tank then seen when on the Vamos or one of the VW batteries. That would be the Eleaf iStick which also adjusts the voltage when going to adjust the wattage which still amounts to a VV mod not one that separates the V from the W. In fact I'm running at 5w where the voltage shows 3.1v. I made a comparison by placing the MVP and one of the eGo-V batteries next to it to show how small this 20watter is!

The MVP has a Smok Tumbler on that while the iStick and eGo battery both have the latest Smok T-Dux 4.0 4ml tank on to further illustrate the size differences. Makes it easy to use while driving.

So today I forgot spare juice, so said what the heck, go grab some more and pull the trigger and get the smoketec sid. Well I did get some juice, but they don't carry the sid anymore. I suggested they update the website.

The new juice I got is called rasta juice, I don't see it on their website but if I remember right he called it jamacian rum. Guess the label is wrong but either way it's a good flavor.

Not all of the groups are cloud makers by the rule of thumb. Some may grab a snap of themselves blowing a cloud at times but as more of a pun while most of the performers more or less are found on YouTube where the ones looking for "bragging rights"? are more apt to be found. Some are for posting deal and contests while are the wheeler dealer trade or sell by pm. A few want it kept simple at the beginner level so everybody can get in. And then you have the intermediary types as well as few news groups and some get into the science and scoff at the nonsense proganda the opponents blog.

With the iStick due to seeing the voltage raised along with the watts you tend to get the tanks warmer and producing more vapor. But you have to watch the voltage depending on what you have attached to keep from cooking some! Many of the 1.6ml clearomizers are disposables and only intended for eGo type 3.7v batteries while some will run upto 4.2v by factory specs. The little bugger does a good job however for it's size over lugging a bulky 3 battey box mod around with you. Too bad it wasn't set up like the MVP for separation of watts and volts however which would make it primo! Keep the volts down while cranking watts!

Oh and I can't believe it but the new innokin SVD 2.0 runs coils down to 0.5ohm! I wish I hadn't bought the vamo V6 now. But Christmas is coming lol.

Black Friday is coming even sooner while I suspect you won't find the latest seeing any large discounts this soon. The vendors will want to make their money first. One review mentioned it would like run at least close to $80 when out and nothing new about seeing various APVs run up over $100 at times! This is due the Evolv chip it in which brings the price up.

As for the V6 that's still a good one to have onhand even if you favor something else. It was after I passed the V2 along to someone since I went for the Groove II 3800mah battery that it let go and I then went with the V5 and then went spotting a price break for the VTR grabbed one of those due to being a replaceable battery type mod. For the best sub ohming however most will pick out a mech mod not one with any circuit card in it. You can then add in a wattage adjuster and crank things up a bit.

Do any of those juices have a "Born On" date, or date they were made?

I'm not sure about any of them in particular, I can tell you for a fact any juie with a Custard or Cream type base MUST steep a good while. And by that I mean it needs at least a good 4-6 weeks.
So perhaps some of them are fairly new and need to age a bit.

I know with ZampleBox I often get juices that are just a couple weeks old. If I let them sit a couple weeks longer, they taste much better. A couple I didn't like I ended up loving after they aged properly.

So don't discount them just yet. Let em age a bit.

It really is a taste and see thing though. There are some flavors you want to vape before they get to old. The fresher the better. And some just the opposite, the older the better.
Older the better seems to apply to mainly Custard and Tobacco in particular. They are the worst offenders for needing a significant steep time, a month or more, or as they call it a "Deep Steep Juice"
Cream based juices often need a couple to 3 weeks bare minimum and upwards.

I just mixed up a big 120ml batch of Strawberry Custard using Capellas concentrated Vanilla Custard,Sweet Strawberry, and TFAs Bavarian Cream.
At 1 week old its pretty tasty all ready, and i cant wait till it properly matures.

I made the same recipie (only 10ml) before and it wasnt too good. I tried it right aftyer making it and again a couple days later. I kinda forgot about it, and when I tested it at 6 weeks old it was amazing!!! So this time, I took into consideration the aging time, and made 120ml of it LOL. May make a second one too to start aging.
Obviously the little 10ml batch didnt last long so Im patiently waiting....
FWIW a custard seems to be ready when it turns really dark color, a dark orange-ish yellow. Its clear when first made, or a very slight yellow tint.

That is good to know, I just bought a Custard from Vista Vapors, I also have some Butter cream from them as well, they mix them as ordered and put your name on the label.

That's a good reason to buy ahead of time and let them sit.

Yea I ordered a couple of items from vista...
It was the longest delivery I've ever seen,
I blame mostly the worthless post office for the delay which showed delivered when it in fact was not,
Took 4 weeks to actually receive this shipment
All of these places need other shipping methods available besides the worthless usps morons
As it stands I'll never order another item with usps as the only option
Which pretty much rules them all out as far as I can see,
Chatted with Vape wild located in Dallas Texas I might try them usps but no more from Vista.. via Minnesota that's just to freaking far away :)

That's interesting, I kind of prefer USPS, I usually get mine in a few days. 4 weeks would definitely turn me away too though, that's uncalled for, sounds like USPS misplaced it somewhere.

I like USPS because they can just leave it in my mailbox, I don't trust my neighbors enough to have UPS or FedEx just leave my stuff in front of my door.

I've ordered from a few different places, New York and Hawaii being the farthest.

The shipment was already 2 weeks overdue by the time I checked the shipping information as it said delivered :/
I raised hell at the post office all I got was ask the mail man
I replied I am this is usps isn't it ? you ask the freaking mail man a-holes :p
Week and a half later it was in my mail box,
I can't believe they said stalk the mailman and ask him/ her ?
Like the moron is going to remember a package 2-3 weeks after lol :)

With that ThrashZone you may have had a subsitute on your route the day it was supposed to have arrived and either got forgotten about in the mail truck and buried under something or even delivered to the wrong address. Then if someone else caught the carrier and hands him or her back the vape mail you were expecting you see it arrive late.

The only problem I see with the USPS itself is being rather slow at updating the tracking while I've seen things come in days before the expected delivery date likely from lighter mail loads at those times. People send pms on social or emails these days even E-cards which can account for part of that. I've been finding a few vendors that were slower then molasses at getting orders out and didn't go back finding the same things sometimes priced better somewhere else.

One in particular was first found with a variety of colors for the tanks on the Tumbler but 2.4ohm coils while I was still ordering clear tanks from another place with the 2 ohm instead. Finally when hearing complaints from a contact about one place I gave them a look and found they had them in the color selections as well as coming with 2ohm coils while I wouldn't order replacements of Smok coils from them or a number of vendors $2 a pop when I can order 25 or more for only $1.59. I stocked up!on those when finding that place! :D for reference: SMOK Replacement Bottom Coil Heads

Those places ship and the vape mail is in two days later. The iStick was ordered friday and in yesterday from a vendor in Tenessee while if I order from a place in Florida it takes a day or two longer. The more bulk centers found in a state will often effect how fast an order comes in from a vendor located there especially when the PO picks up the orders to soon go to a sorting facilty close by to where the vendor is and not need to wait for a small town's mail to arrive cross state in some place to be sorted and shipped out from there. Generally the USPS has been reliable and preferred over Fed-X.

As for Vista Vapors they're on the Top 5 US vendors list as well as Mt Baker and Crystal Canyon Vapes making the list in a year's time. They are one of the few that actually carries PG and VG separately or in a blend you specify for doing some DIYing mixing of your own. From there you can order the flavoring and nicotine separately from other places while I be looking at a menthol pg/vg base to start with and then make up several mixes with a variety of flavors to see what will work out. You get the idea of how much or how little with small test samples before getting it right. Someday maybe! :roflmao:

Those steep times sometimes aren't an issue with some vendors.

Some only ship Pre-steeped and ready to vape. Then mark as sold out or unavailable untill the next batch is ready.
Others will just ship fresh regardless to keep up with demand.

So each vendor is a bit different in how they do things. Something to look into possibly. Most of the bigger, more reputable vendors that have been around awhile steep ahead of time. but not all of them.

Nicoticket for example tells you. Either its already been aged and good to go, or shelf it when you get it for 2 weeks etc.
Look at this particular E-Juice, and look at the comments section:
http://www.nicoticket.com/strawnilla/

Notice the Mixed On and ready to vape dates? Thats the kinda stuff you want to look for or find out.

They are one of the few that give all that info though.

There are endless stores out there it seems, that's the first one I've seen so professionally detailed like that.

That is why I prefer to walk in a store and by it. I have looked and found several others in the area. I will start going by them and checking out what they have. As far as steeping time if needed, I will just stock up and let it steep.

I stopped at my usual today to pick up a few coils, it was Jamacian Rum juice (Jamaican Rum Eliquid from Ion Vapor ) I got last time, they just renamed it to Rasta Juice I guess.

I'm going to get the Kahula one next ( Kahlua Cream Eliquid From Ion Vapor )and try the Monkey juice ( Monkey Juice Eliquid from Ion Vapor ) then start from some other stores. I am enjoying the variety.

I'm four weeks in now, not counting my slip at 48hrs, and the breakdown due to lack of hardware last week. I'm still looking at other kits since I couldn't get the sid yesterday. I will just wait and catch a deal soon

I wasn't impressed very much with the higher prices the SID gets when going to look over a number of VV/VW devices. So far I kind of have a liking for the Eleaf iStick despite not having separate wattage and voltage modes but displays both at the same time only changing which is the largest on the display.

The SID is more or less a different model name offering an 18350 battery tube you can use on the Smok ACE aluminum body version since that comes without the shorter battery tube. The gold color is also a bit off from the gold on the ACE as well that's priced about $35- on average unless you find a deal like the much lower price found for $30.90 compared the $48 seen at the vendor you posted. Dude. Smoktech SID

Even Newegg has started carrying ecigs as well as coffee urns and other diversities when browsing the catagories there. The Smoktech SID Kit was priced at $29.99 there. That's from having a market place available where other vendors sell through them. Here I spent more time browsing and price shopping the entire "Bing" web for more specific items in order to save $$$ for others at times as well as for my own use.
(Of course that's a way to have your head handed to you if you should something cheaper that a reviewer tags since they get paid by certain vendors for the reviews! )

Now if you have a specific price range I can generally point out some of the better deals once I have a specific item. For the basic starters kits while most places want upto $50 or more for the double battery eGo CE5 1100mah kits those are available for $19.95 at one NY vendor. A single battery with clearomizer and usb adapter I mentioned before on the thread is only $8. For different mods and variable batteries it seems for each one you need to find a different vendor in order to get the best price.
