It's asking me to format it once more in order to image it. Once i follow the step #17 and it creates the image on the drive, that should allow me to boot win7 plus the files off the other drive with this main one unplugged correct? I might not have results till the morning my time. sorry for the delay

#17 is just a boot from macrium reflect rescue dvd. You can make a backup/restore with it and clone with it.

Clone or backup/restore is successfull? Then reboot with the old drive NOT attached to the system. If it's not boot perform a "startup repair".

Who or what is "it"? and what do you mean by the second "it"?
Are you imaging the old drive?? I thought we're trying to clone it(?)

I basicily meant, I can't do the clone/backup unless the drive is formatted otherwise It won't come up on reflect.

It was not successful the exact same error came up again

Did you try the winpe ISO?

End results after using the Winpe.
It very well may be that the other HDD is just corrupt also, I intend to buy a new 1 TB HDD today due to this problem

With the HDD i assume It won't do the same problem if it's a new one fresh out the box

Is it always failing on the same spot? I mean always after 1:27 hours for example.

Try the new HDD in another machine. If still same problem... try another sata-cable.
Run memtest86+ a few hours... no memory errors?

As a test you can create a very large partition on the new HDD. So make a 1TB partition that uses all diskspace. Give it drive letter U for example. Then in elevated command prompt:

chkdsk/f  U:

Phase 1 to 3 should be fast (no files at all on the file system)
Phase 4 should be fast as well (no files at all on the file system)
Phase 5 takes many hours! But maybe it finds bad spots on disk (?)

Any errors? If so... run it again. Errors on same spot?

Did you see the I/O performance in the screenshot? write 2.4Mb/s!! megabit! So 0.3MB/sec .... = 300kB/sec.
At that speed it takes 1 hour to clone 1GB.

Do you see drops in speed? Maybe it's due to the write retries(?)
