Solved Cannot boot from SSD after windows partition cloning

Did you have to change WINXP from C to G before running the tool, or did the tool make this change when you changed WIN7_NEW from G to C?

I changed nothing before running the tool. After I ran it, WINXP was D. Then I changed the letters.

OK, thanks ...

Strange (to me) because your last screen print shows D as the Data partition ...
So i now wonder what was the drive letter of the "D Data" partition after running the tool ...

Guess this isn't really a question for you on how this program works ...

I've never heard of this program before and you're the first to use/test it i know of ...
I was just looking for your feedback out of curiosity.

I'll save this thread link for future reference if i see someone else needs to change a drive letter ...

Thanks, de

Maybe SIW2 will tell us what was in the fix and how it worked here.

Is that the updated Win7 boot files, Si?

Does it enable changing the OS drive letter in all cases or was there something specific here?

Do you think it was related to the previously seen blue-screen non-Gen lockout drive-letter slippage during imaging which I posted your old fix for earlier? http://www.sevenforums.com/installa...-win7-partition-another-drive.html#post484430

The screenshot he showed of that particular imaging failure midway through the thread was nearly identical to those cases, even though I haven't seen one in years.
