Reinstalling Windows 7 - SSD/HDD 2 Hard drive

Hi, I have a Windows 7 Professional, lately I've been having some problem with it and I thought it was time to do a little refresh and restart everything from scratch.
I was going to use that tutorial : http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
But then I realised that I had 2 hard drive, a SSD (C: Drive) & an HDD (My D: Drive).
Since I want to completely reinstall Windows on my SSD & completely wipe out the HDD I'm not too sure how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image.

You'd want to unplug the hard drive to make sure the boot files aren't derailed to it during install.

Other tips here to get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 are the same for retail.

As long as you choose the correct drive for reinstall then it isn't even necessary to unplug the other since it is Logical which cannot receive boot files.

Be sure to delete all of the target hard drive partitions during the booted Clean Reinstall Windows 7

Okay, Thanks you very much !
But what about the D: drive ? I would like to empty it too since I'm restarting from the start but I'm not sure how.

Do you have external storage space to move 650 gb of data off the D drive, or whatever amount needs to be backed up after you clean up the files you don't want on it? If not then I'd leave it be. Unless you have problems with the drive, it has nothing at all to do with reinstalling the OS to the other hard drive. I would focus on doing a great job on the Clean Reinstall Windows 7. Those steps will show you how to get and keep a perfect install.

Actually I have already backed up everything from the D: Drive that I needed on an external Hard Drive so I don't really need anything on the D: Drive, that's why I was saying it. But like you said, I'll focus on reinstalling Windows for now.

I could reinstall Windows without problems but into the device manager a lot of the device have a yellow exclamation and are saying they have no drivers and can't find it. I can't connect at all at my Ethernet connection so I had to install a Wireless USB adapter I had. I guess I'll try to find the model number of the Ethernet device to download it, I'll see for the rest.

Of course you have to reinstall drivers, windows doesn`t come with every driver out there. You get them at the motherboard or laptop manufacturers website.

What motherboard did you install (this is a custom build) where is the motherboard cd with the drivers on it ?

It specifically deals with this issue in advance in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 by backing up your active network driver (wireless or Ethernet - whichever you're using which is named in Device Manager), so apparently you didn't read it or at least didn't heed the driver steps which are so important they are printed in red.

Seriously, why would you ask for our help here, be told repeatedly to follow closely that tutorial but then ignore steps so important they are printed in RED?! :huh:

Sorry for that, I'm not used to reinstall PC. I used to have a laptop and reinstalling it was a lot less complicated for me. I was able to find the drivers of my Ethernet so now It's working fine. The rest seems fine for now.
