So after no response on my previous thread, I went to the expense of 2 pc repair shops and a new motherboard.. and the machine still dies!! A waste of £300+
Seen as I'm having to resolve this by myself, I'm wanting to know what the cheapest LGA1155 cpu is to test? I run the Asus P8Z77-V motherboard - I used to overclock my i7 2700k @ 4.8ghz, things were smooth for the best part of 3-4 years, but the machine rarely got turned off, so it definitely had its pacing.
I really can't afford to be throwing money at new components that don't seem to be the problem in factor.. that's why I want to try a cheap cpu and see if my 2700k oc is to blame.
Thank you.
