Hello,

I have a stupid problem : I accidentaly deleted Ethernet driver from Device manager. It was not installed on my laptop and while looking at settings, I accidentaly deleted it. Now I can't see it no more.

Is there a solution for this? Reinstalling windows maybe?

Sony do not keep their drivers inside.

Once deleted, it is gone as good-bye.

Having a used Sony laptop, and seek a recovery disk from manufacturer service center.

After showing the model of the laptop, the staff searching here and there, then finally give up.

Then the staff said it need the laptop to send to their service center to re-load the Windows 7.

What is worst is that the staff told me the spec is not totally correct. (i did not bring the laptop, but photo only)

The label indicate Window 7 HE 32-bit, but the staff say it is Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, ram up to 16GB.

I only can use 3GB Ram even if i slot in any amount from 4GB to 8GB.

As 3GB RAM limit is mainly for 32-bit Windows 7 HE.

This is rather an stupid staff (i would said this) as to compare to other brand service staff.
How can a such qualified staff to handle customers and providing wrong info.
The info the staff provide is from his head, no reference to any documents or check their system.

Went to Toshiba service center, and ask for recovery disc.

The first sentence the staff said "Need to see the laptop" as would not provide if no physical laptop.
Then the staff check the label on the bottom, and certify the correct recovery disc and any info.

Compare the big difference in service staff.
