Random BSOD 0x000000f4

It occurs while gaming, browsing, starting up. Other times I don't have issues for hours.

As I read somewhere the number points to a hardware issue, so I checked my RAM with memtest86 for 10 hours with no result.
I checked the cabling of my drives and changed it.
I unattached the secondary drives.
I read the smart-attributes and they all say good.
But the issue is still there

Any help appreciated.

Can anybody look into this, please? I'm stuck.

Any guesses? Should I change SSD or mainboard?

Hi justmee,

It looks like the file system had/has corruption.
I would recommend to perform the same command again, and to perform chkdsk on all other partitions if you haven't yet, just to ensure that all file system corruption is getting fixed.

Hi, thanks for your replay. I reran it yesterday. Today I got a BSOD and after it I get a bunch of errors in eventlog saying that I need to run chkdsk on \Device\HarddiskVolume3 which is my c-drive. The BSOD today was a HIDPARSE.SYS+f0af60

The BSODs keep coming. Running chkdsk giving me errors again. This time after finding errors I reran chkdsk without finding any.

From time to time I have the issue, that my mouse isn't functional. This happened in the past with another mouse (and another installation) too, so I'm thinking about the mainboard as the cause of the problem. The mouse is powered during startup, but when it needs to be reinitiated during login it fails. Today I got the same issue on the parallel installed linux which made me think of the said mainboard.
In addition - I sometimes have the problem at startup that I can't use my keyboard to chose which system to start (grub bootloader).
Sometimes after bios post it takes longer until I get into bootloader (3-5s longer than normal).

What I wanted to try now is install a fresh windows on another drive (HDD) - or should I go with a lowlevel format on my SSD?

As a FYI, even though software says that the device is fine, software is never 100% accurate. It is meant to guide you to the right direction, but from time to time it is just not the correct direction.
Is it possible to have a defective device although smart says its fine?

I would suggest to replace the drive on which chkdsk finds so many errors, it is indicative to a failing drive.

I changed my SSD for an older HDD, installed a clean Win 7 but I still get those errors.

What can be the source of the issue? Mainboard? Power supply? Graphics Card?

As I mentioned earlier I sometimes have no power on mouse while booting. Is this pointing to the mainboard? How can I eliminate hardware parts without changing it trial and error?

Did you try a different sata port?

Without trial and error it is impossible to eliminate hardware.

Hi, yes, as I wrote in my first post. I changed cable and port. That changed nothing.
This time I changed the drive.

Without trial and error it is impossible to eliminate hardware.
The problem is, that I don't own another mainboard or power supply and its quite costly to buy it only for testing...
