A way to select all emails at once and forward to a different email?

Is there a way to select all of your emails and send them all at once to another email address?

Could you perhaps be more specific? Are you currently accessing your hotmail via a web browser vs. an email client? Will you be accessing the other (destination) email acct via web browser vs. an email client?

I'm guessing your intent is to move old emails, but we first have to know where they are now and where are they going. In the cloud, or on your computer?

The phrase, "im using hotmail/outlook", could be construed to mean "I'm using Hotmail, which is now outlook.com", or it could mean "I'm using Hotmail (the email service) with Outlook (the email client)." (Blame Microsoft for their bloody idiotic branding, confusing three completely unrelated products--Outlook, Outlook Express, and Outlook.com--with similarly sounding names.)

In the former case, your old emails will typically be retained in the cloud on a Microsoft mail server, while in the latter case old emails are typically in the Outlook program on your computer and no longer in the cloud.

It's doable, but how difficult it may be will depend on your particular email setup. It would also help to know if you have an email client (IOW, a program on your computer, such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, et al) to use as a go-between.

Well, Outlook is an email client (a program installed on your computer) and Hotmail is an email service, so they're not even in the same product categories. But since you mentioned a web browser I'll assume you really mean Outlook.com, which has no relationship to Outlook.

And I'm not sure what you mean by, "As you can see i have selected most of the emails at once" ... since there's nothing for me to look at.

So let me summarize to see if I'm correctly guessing between the lines:

• you have two Hotmail addresses, which are not linked and are not aliases of each other;
• you access your email by launching Firefox and navigating to Hotmail's web interface;
• you have old emails in one Hotmail account that you'd like to move or copy to the other Hotmail account.

Is that correct?

If so, the method you want to use will be to setup an email client (a program on your computer) to access both accounts via IMAP, then simply drag-and-drop emails from one account to the other. Afterward, you can choose to discard the email client and go back to accessing Hotmail via Firefox. The email client is just a means of accessing both Hotmail accounts simultaneously and moving messages back and forth, but when the moving is done you don't need the client anymore.

I don't know how much you have to move, but this method works well for moving large amounts of email, and/or messages you may have squirreled away in subfolders within your Hotmail account. It can be more trouble than it's worth for moving just a few emails--in which case simply forwarding those few emails from one account to the other may be more practical.

I would recommend using Thunderbird Portable as your temporary email client. Thunderbird can easily access both accounts as IMAP, and the portable version means you can simply toss it when done (no "uninstall" necessary).

Does that make sense?

Are you saying you posted a screenshot? If so, I'm not seeing anything.

At any rate, in Hotmail you can only forward messages one at a time. If you have a lot, that can be time-consuming, so using Thunderbird as a go-between would be more convenient.

Well, no matter, I'm pretty sure I know what you're referring to. If you're logging into your Hotmail via Firefox, I know the checkboxes you're referring to in the web interface.

Okay, I did a dummy run to grab some screenshots, and posted a quick tutorial here.

See if that helps.

This method relies on having IMAP access to both of your Hotmail accounts, but I believe IMAP should be enabled by default. You can check by examining your Hotmail mail settings.

I should mention that "Forwarding" in the mail settings only affects future incoming mail, not mail already in your inbox. And note that if you have two-factor authentication enabled there are a few extra hoops you have to jump through.

The absolute easiest way to move a bunch of emails from one email address to another is:
1. Set up both email addresses as IMAP in an email program (e.g. Thunderbird, Outlook).
2. Highlight all of the ones you want to move.
3. Drag them to one of the IMAP folders in the target email address.
