Best GPU for my games and budget?

Hey all,

My current specs are in my system info.

The games I play are the Call of Duty series on steam, primarily black ops 1, 2, 3, and I'd like to play call of duty: world war 2 soon (just came out)

Black ops 1 and 2 are fine with my 670, but i have some fps drops on black ops 3, so I don't think i'll be that good on ww2, which was released this year.

I don't care about graphics, but i'd like a solid 60 fps with no drops. Higher would be nice I only would like to spend a max of $300, so i guess that's be my budget for a gpu. I'll worry about a new system later on.

Any help I would greatly appreciate!

Getting a solid 60 FPS with $300 card could be a bit of a challenge.

Any 1060 should be around that price. And will be quite an improvement over your 670.

You could also put a 2600 in there, but like you said, you`ll build a new system. But I`m sure you could find one cheaper on Ebay. That would help your system too.

Hmm, the 2600 is a bit tempting after my gpu upgrade because if I build a new PC, i most likely won't have windows 7 as an option.

Do you think I should go for the 2600? I see used ones on eBay much cheaper than the one you linked.

You definitely should go for the i7 2600, it's only a bit slower than Kaby Lake's i7 7700.

I'd go for the GPU first. The i5 2400 isn't that very slow compared to 7400

Agreed, get the GPU 1st, then if you spot a 2600 cheap, grab it. The Sandy Bridge is a great cpu.

The cpu I linked was just an example, I was shocked to see someone still had it new.

After you do that, then you could increase your memory to 16GB if the Motherboard will support 16GB. 12GB is a strange amount to be using.

If you do that, then you`d be good for a long time, and then you can start saving for a new build.

A new GPU, a bit faster CPU, and more memory will all help with your gaming.
