Yes, you will need an internet connection to download the iso file. The iso file is quite big, so it might take a while to download.

If you download the iso on an xp machine, you will need an isoburner to burn it to dvd. Burning is different from copying.

got the xp computer out, loaded the exe file and it says This file is a 64 bit. the computer is 32 bit.

the T17 and T18 are 64 bit. T18 does not connect to the internet.

what now guys?

chromebook is trying to download it. if it is big that might be a problem as chromebooks have very little storeage.

see it is 3.1 GB that should be OKAY but it says it will take 3 hours - hope it does better than that!

EXACTLY what do i do with the file when it arrives? Copy it to a DVD? we make DVDs of videos etc so i can probably burn it when i find out what that means

It may take a long time to download the large iso. It depends on the speed of your internet connection. People who pay for more expensive plans from their internet service provider will have faster download and upload speeds.

Just be patient.

got it. put it on the T-18 good computer.
and...what now?

Burning ISO's normally work more often if they are burnt at a lower burn speed!
Also, enter a Volume Label [it makes it easier to identify what is on the DVD afterwards] and check the Finalize Disc box!

To burn the ISO to a USB, you can either use Rufus 3.4 or Rufus 3.4 Portable.

Yes, we want to burn the ISO image to a DVD, so you could try it!

I have Googled the Hardware Error 8448 and it seems to be a common problem with Free ISO Burner.

Try using ImgBurn => ImgBurn and burn it at 4X speed [or the slowest speed available].
