Hi All,
Greets,
Very well said by everyone!
I think he should use '
Snappy Driver Installer Lite ( SDI Lite )' if he is really looking for a driver updater. It is a safe option. When DriverPackSolution took strange paths, a person from them separated some of his practices & started this one :
Snappy Driver Installer - Install and Update Drivers for Free
Besides, It is good for information purposes. Its one own choice whether he uses drivers from them or not but he would get some good information. For eg. If the driver is installed or not ? If the installed driver is optimum or not? What is the Name, Hardware ID & Compatible ids of the devices which are not installed or not installed with an optimum/good/proper driver ? If the available driver is signed or not ? If the driver is available with them or not ?
A short brief to use it :
(a) Go for the
SDI Lite version, extract the zip & run the 32 or 64 bit version according to your OS.
(b) When you run it for the first time, it may ask you to allow it in Firewall , allow it.
(c) Simultaneously to that , there will be a pop up which will ask for
what to download > select
Download Indexes Only.
(d) Wait for it to complete downloading indexes. Then it will show all the devices & information.
(e) Then you can just hover & stop the mouse pointer over the devices entries & get important information about them.
(f) If you click the
two downward pointers on any device, They will list all the drivers available for the device with them. Analyze their description & choose only the good one if you want to install any!
There is also an option in the left pane :
Extract to... which will export the same device listing others can directly see & advise!
Normally, you may want to only check one or two boxes on the
TOP otherwise the rest default settings are good to do well. As you analyze more things, you may want to change more! In the process, if you loose & forget the default settings, just delete the extracted folder of SDI fully & start a fresh with the zip file.
If you go to the
Help section of the 'Snappy Driver Installer' web page, you will find the list of dedicated support forums for that.
Always keep in mind : just updating the drivers for updating the overall system/os does not make sense. It is not sure that an updated driver will do better. Sometimes updating drivers may give you some exciting performance numbers but it is not sure whether they are more stable.
And Yes : You have not updated your specs well. These masters can help you better then & interacting with them you can learn many things one by one.
Good Luck!
Thanks & Regards. ...
