Just tried this mod but got the dreaded BSOD.
Are there any new updates to this?

Thanks in advanced!

Thanks for the the info, that's what I tried.
Went into safe mode, looked in device manger the SE was changed X-Fi but kept getting BS?
He has this out now...SB Audigy Series Support Pack 3.5 (10/11/2009) - Creative Labs

Tried this one but when i try to install i get the "setup is unable to locate device... etc"? Which is not the case because it's listed in the device manager.

And with good reason that that driver set won't work with your card. Sorry but ou need to read what he says it works on and what your card is a little better. That set is for,

Supports any model of the following Sound Blaster cards (based on Emu10kx DSP):

- Audigy
- Audigy 2
- Audigy 2 ZS
- Audigy 4

which is the line of actual Audigy's. You have the Audigy SE, that isn't a real Audigy but a renamed SB Live 24. Even has the link to the correct set for your card,

For Audigy SE/LS/Value and Live! 24-bit cards, click here for a compatible version.

You need to use this one,

SB P17X Series Support Pack 2.0 (07/31/2009) - Aud... - Creative Labs

And all the supposed Audigy SE-X-Fi (that would be the Xtreme Audio by the way, which isn't a true X-Fi, but a renamed Audigy SE) mod does is allow you to use some of the X-Fi apps on your card.

Wow just noticed that & thanks for the info!

Now this might be a dumb question , but I uninstalled the card rebooted & let window install the drivers.
The date on the 2.0pk is 7/31/09, the date on the windows driver 8/3/2009
Would you know if there's a big difference between the 2 aside from the obvious?

Only way I can think of to check for differences is to compare the file versions that got installed with the Windows Update driver against the ones in the folder from the 2.0 pack.

Then again if the WU driver is working (and whatever extra bits you may have installed from the 2.0 pack) as you want, I would probably just leave it alone.

I have the Audigy SE card and i need the "Bass redirection" option for my subwoofer to work. Does the drivers that stormy13 suggested have that option? These audio drivers are the only thing keeping me with XP :(

As stated I uninstalled everything Creative then rebooted to let Windows install the drivers. After that go to Control Panel>Sounds, click on speakers>configure. From there you'll have options to add sub-woofer.

Can someone help me with this? I cannot get these drivers to work.

I'm running W7 64-bit. I ran Vista 64-bit for the past year and these drivers worked fine. I could enable the crystalizer, EAX and CMSS-3D. Now in W7 I can't get any of them to work. I'm using the older Daniel K. drivers because his later releases do not include the X-Fi console and effects. My version is 0078. I have also tried 0079 with no success either.

I have tried cleaning the drivers with Driver Sweeper in safe mode, reinstalling using Vista SP1 compatibility mode and running as admin but none of those things worked.

My card is an Audigy SE.
