Yes, there is a way. Go to this link Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free and follow the instructions and make a copy of your system and a boot disk. The boot disk is important because you need to get your new system going, You will copy it to your new system. It is made for when you have a problem and your system shuts down, but you can do this also to transfer files. If I have not made myself clear as mud, please ask again. Good Luck

Yo can stick with your windows 7 safely at least for next 5 years, right now I don't thinking about update to windows 10 at least for the next 5 years.
It's more only I'll start thinking to change windows seven if I've compatiblity problem with the programs I use in my work.

Making win 10 look and behave like win 7

Install win10, install classic shell, install winaero tweaker, disable UAC, disable Cortana, never look back. I did it last week - disk footprint is down by 20GB, interface looks and operates the same as it has the last 20 years, drivers are finally current.

You can't simply Clone an OS to move to another computer with MR that I know of, if so please post the link to that info.

Supposedly you can do this with AOMEI. It may get complicated moving from MBR to UEFI though.

You can't simply Clone an OS to move to another computer with MR that I know of, if so please post the link to that info...

Agree with Nasty7--Once you install an OS, it customizes itself to the hardware of that computer. You can, however, use it to restore the the HD in the same computer if your HD turns to toast. You can also use the clone to restore data that's been lost, in ANY computer. That's why it's wise to have your data on a separate partition.

I've installed Windows 10 on everyone of my Windows 7 (2010) desktop computers and I've had no problems doing so.

Windows 10 works good for my minimal computer needs, browsing, streaming youtube videos etc.

OK I don't really care for it however it's free for the taking and I sure wouldn't pay for it.
I'm a Linux user and if for any reason I find I no longer want to use Windows 10 I'll just continue to use Linux.

I like my Win 7. "O! By the way you sound like an MS salesman with that introduction" I'll never upgrade my system or systems, to Win 10. "Until Win 7 becomes like Win XP then maybe." So I installed Win 10 in VMware so whenever I need or want I can boot it up and run the two simultaneously. Or you can boot right to the vhd. Thank you Kari. VM is the future gentlemen.. And Women.. No gender exclusion hear. Well, that's my rant. I hope I made some logical sense.

Nope not a MS salesman.

I actually do the Windows 10 free upgrade on all of the computers I get free and then donate them to community facilities that are in need of computers but don't have a budget for any.
