Hi: I just joined.

I am trying to make a bootable USB as described in www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/206361-how-do-i-create-ms-dos-boot-disk.html
I did this

1. Download the HP Flash Utility hpflash1.zip and also download the Windows 98 MS-DOS System Files win98boot.zip. Extract hpflash1 to a location readily accessible

here's where it went off the rails 2. Run the installer and follow the simple on-screen instructions Where is the installer? Is it in one of the files I unzipped? What's its name? help...

The installer is hpflash1.exe. You first need to extract this from the hpflash1.zip file. If you have unzipped it, you should find it in the folder you unzipped it to.

Nope, me.

Are you trying to run windows 98 from bootable USB or are you trying to create bootable Windows 98 installation USB?

It should be easily after downloading the Windows ISO file. A couple of amazing tools can help you burn ISO to USB and it is bootable for installation.
