I've tried it these days and it worked fine 2 of 3 times, but with another HDD it didn't worked and got stuck at some point (see here). The HDD S.M.A.R.T. results are good, chkdsk passed ok.

And Paragon Adaptive Restore it's not supported anymore.

This is why I want to try some alternative software.

I'll try also O&O Diskimage, thanks.

If any other alternative exists, I am ready to try it as well

Which wd 1tb. Is it the WD 1tb blue?

I looked at your linked thread. Only one attached picture is working. Why is it looking for grub (grldr)?

You could probably rebuild the paragon iso using the more recent winre.wim/boot.wim image 2 from installation media which includes SP1. The program is 32 bit, so you need the 32 bit winre/boot.wim.

The iso files can be extracted from the rk14_free.exe with 7zip or similar

WD Green

I've mounted something on stick as Grub4DOS.
Just reformated it and it also has to with that grldr...

umm, I don't know how to work with them

Another possibility is the paragon rescue kit free 14. It contains 2 linux isos . They include a more recent version of adaptive restore.

http://dl.paragon-software.com/free/rk14_free.exe

The iso files can be extracted from the rk14_free.exe with 7zip or similar

Tried. The same result, USB boot stuck at grldr...

Thanks for this. Very useful software. Small but powerful.

O&O Diskimage is not very intuitive. I didn't figured how to adjust the Windows installations with it...

SIW2, Thanks, done. However it didn't resolved my problem...

It's very interesting how I fixed the cloned version of my Windows to work on another drive and another machine, but the original version on the native drive still non-working. Smells of Paranormal Activity ))
