Hello everyone, First time posting here.

I built this PC around 6 years ago. It used to Bsod a lot and then stopped so I didn't worry about it. But now it has been recently bsoding a lot. At first it was an x124 error so this time I dove into figuring out how to trouble shoot. I have tried so many things: Memtest86, chkdsk, memory test, seagate. All those tests seem to come up fine which inclines me to believe its due to overheating but my temps seem fine. Plz help lol (Let me know if you need pictures of each blue screen)

Hi
There appear to be multiple problems with your install.

intel/usb3/radeon/razer drivers/Ccleaner and windows updates

it would be easier and quicker to do either a repair install, might not repair everything, my instincts tell me a clean install would be your best option.

I don't monitor the forums like I used to and may check the forums a few times a week.

Hi shadysosa99,

Sorry for the wait. I'm busy during the week and only have a few hours in total each day to manage personal life.

Are you still in need of help?

Hello it has been a long time since my last post. I ran a system repair install which caused some issues at first, but once I updated all my drivers, things seemed squared away. Not until recently, December2020 and January2021 did my computer start crashing. This time it was only 0x124 errors. Recently, like today, It has crashed multiple times within a small time frame. I can't say for certain, but it seemed like it crashes when I'm playing games or watching Twitch TV online. I don't know if that helps but thought I might mention it. What steps should I take?

Hi.

Everything seems to point to a CPU error. The 0x124 bugcheck in itself is associated with hardware failure and everything else seems to indicate that this hardware failure is CPU-related. Try running Prime95 and make sure you run it with Small FFTs, as it says in the article so you can stress the cache. If it freezes or BSODs, you'll have your culprit. Make sure to monitor your temperatures in the meantime so you get an idea of how hot your CPU becomes during load.

HI, thanks for the help. I tried running that program but my pc got extremely hot and I am never able to finish the test. Does that mean its an overheating issue? If it is a CPU issue how would I go about fixing it? by getting a new cpu?

A few tips to address overheating with the cpu that can go a long way
- if the heatsink or fan is dusty, use a compressed air spray to remove the dust
- reapply thermal paste, improperly applied thermal paste can have a negative effect on the temperature
- upgrade the fan to a better performing one (not preferable and last option)

Apply these tips in the order they're posted and check if they have any effect before continuing with the next tip. If the effect is sufficient no need to apply the other tips.
