I don't understand your question....I don't go to work every day, the music lessons are on saturdays...
I just asked my mother now and she said it is TVCabo.....so it is confirmed.....She says she pays very little for it around a fourth of the price of the one we pay from home....

Hey sir, my mother said she pays only a little for this internet at work so the problem might be with the ISP i mean the package for the internet must be a slow one.

I wanted to know what connection the internet at her work had to do with the connection you're using at home?

If you're using TV Cabo Angola at the top of the list in the link, you need to talk to them because your speeds are as bad or worst than 4 of those on that list.

However, if your computer is connected via wi-fi (router) which is connected to the cable modem, is there anything that could block the wi-fi signal? For instance, if there are multiple walls between your computer and the router, that could knock the signal down.

No sir, there are no walls between the main computer at work and the wifi use also unless people go outside but the slow internet happens when i am inside the main room where all the cables and devices are located....Main computer uses ethernet cable and the other devices such as phones or pcs use wireless...

I'm confused in regards to your set up. Are you using a computer at home with a cable modem and router when you get the problem or are you using a computer at work when this happens. If at work, you're saying that all pcs use wi-fi via router from the main computer? In that case, do all the pcs have the same problem? Has anyone checked the speed from the main computer?

The biggest problem is with our computer at work. We use ethernet cable for the main computer there and wireless for the other devices. We use wi-fi from the router at work for the other devices, the main computer uses an ethernet cable....

As I asked, has anyone checked the speeds on the main computer? You could also try connecting the ethernet cable from the main computer to one of the devices that is normally connected via the router to see if it is faster (you could also check the speeds on that device).

It's also possible that one of the devices that is connected via wi-fi is hogging resources. You could shut down all but one device, or shutdown one at a time, to see if the speed improves. I don't know who has the authority to do that or if it would be allowed.

Just some ideas.

ask the IT person(s) at work to check/troubleshoot the connections (it's their problem to fix, not yours)


maybe even visit the Speedtest.net site and test the connections
