@GDI, I'm not sure what's going on with your machine. The images you posted certainly says everything is installed correctly, so I'm at a loss as to what the issue is.
What OS version of Windows are you running - Win 7, 8, 10, or 11? Build number?

I am running Win 10 Pro - Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042. I did initially try to install prior to loading VueScan, but I have tried numerous things and frankly I am not sure where I stand at this point. I may just uninstall NikonScan and VueScan, then delete the Nikon driver. I also had found recommendations to install a "legacy" 1394 driver and tried that and the default 1394 driver during my failed efforts.
Maybe I can remove everything that I can and start again. Next would be setting up a dual boot with XP (if I can find an old XP install CD!)
