I tried to make it find automatically drivers online it tells me there are no drivers available and it's not detecting the X-Fi still, will try your solution.

Trying to find driver through cd is a bad idea?

lol...i spent nearly 2 days trying to pull the drivers off the disc, it would just keep randomly failing while installing.

i dont think it will run on ''7'', its gotta be the internet update.

right.... i take it there are no other PCI slots free..

we could well be looking at card damage here, you may have damaged it or the slot while trying to reseat the card.

it needs to be tested elsewhere to rule it out as a possibility.

ok...good.

go to ''device manager'' select the soundacrd, go to ''properties'' & ''update driver'', when it asks for the location select the internet & let it do its thing..

No result, i told him to search internet it told me no drivers found

It was workin on the same slot with Win Vista 32 don't know what's going on


edit: Don't know exactly what i have done... but now the sound is intermittent, at least i made a step from the complete silence..

I used CD drivers.. don't know what to do now

ok...its safe to say im all out of ways to get the drivers on this card, hopefully someone will have other options...
