No that's not true. It has something called as Collective Intelligence which stores a cache copy of all updates. It can even detect while offline.

but i read somewhere its not as effective as it is wen connected to internet..

No native 64bit support. It installs it Program files(x86) folder and in task mgr, the processes shows *32 next to it.

I see what Dinesh posted below you, but I'm not sure why this would even be an issue though. Other than perhaps a virus being on a flash drive you inserted, 99.99999% of all viruses/malware that you could get would be from the Internet anyway, so if you are not connected for detection, you are not connected to actually get the virus in the first place right?

Other than perhaps a virus being on a flash drive you inserted, 99.99999% of all viruses/malware that you could get would be from the Internet anyway, so if you are not connected for detection, you are not connected to actually get the virus in the first place right?

Also, Panda cloud AV is not efficient on an already infected pc.
