Hi.
I'm using Windows 7 Professional with a Canon MP190 printer.
I get normal printing from all programs except Windows Photo Viewer. When I print from Windows Photo Viewer, I get a blank page. I guess I'm missing a setting somewhere. I tried re-installing the driver, but no help.
Thanks for your help.

Did you go to device manager, to see if everything looks ok? If not there, try devices and printers

If he can print other things, the fault is not in the system, its in the program or its configuration. You should check the settings it lets you modify when you press print. Something wrong there?

Just FYI, if you visit here again, I see the same behavior with a Canon MP130. Printer configuration is precisely the same as what works from other programs. W7 Ultimate, using latest MP driver directly from Canon.

SOLVED - Windows Photo Viewer prints blank page

Found the fix, thanks to "frodoboy" - in another forum. Now when print is invoked from the MS Photo Viewer application a wizard appears, and printing is successful with the Canon MP130. I quote his solution...

The problem is with the "photowiz.dll" file in system32. It is version 6.x.xxxx.xxxx. I found an older version of this file, had to change the attributes and permissions of the file to allow it to be changed. I renamed it with an "dlx" extension and then copied a version 5.1 photowiz.dll to system32 and the print wizard works again! The site I got the 5.1 file from is:

photowiz.dll download - free dll files
