I'd like to ask for help since I don’t know how to fix this.

I had a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my Laptop 1 week ago, and I never had trouble with the Power Options on my previous Windows Vista Home Premium.

Whenever I put the display brightness of Balanced on 75% (plugged in) it always reverts back to 25% whenever I restart my laptop.

Here's a screenshot before the restart:

Here’s a screenshot after the restart:

I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

I hope there is a solution for this,

Thanks in advance!

Carmine

Are you 32bit or 64?

32 Bit, even though my hardware is capable of 64 Bit, but I don't think that's problem.

Go to help section. Type in power settings, soluions to common power trobles then try the power trouble shooter. It probably will not work, but I have found the best answer is often the most obvious.

Help and support--- type power settings--- solutions to common power problems--- then open power trouble shooter. Thats the best I can do, but its precise.

Oh, you meant inside Windows 7, I thought you meant somewhere on this forums, and nope. that didn't work at all. Thanks anyway though.

Isn't it possible to fix it with the register or something?

Unfortunately, None of the above stated solutions did work, I'm currently preforming a clean install and hoping that'll solve the problems I'm having with my Windows 7, But I think I'll just go back to Vista.

Thanks anyway. I wish I could + Rep but I cannot, because I + Repped you earlier.

The fact that you value the work here enough to want to give us rep, is reward enough. The real reward of helping, however, is bittersweet, in this instance, because you have given up on the best OS.

My wife's laptop had this problem also. I seem to remember having to set it up a few times before the settings stuck. Try changing the settings again then do a restart. Don't forget about the "save changes" button at the bottom of the page. It works fine for me now.

I tried it multiple times but it didn't work, I'm doing a clean install at the moment and everything is working fine so far, I hope it'll keep it's settings now.
